    I got the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 16". My last laptop was a 360 touch screen. I wasn't really sold on the experience. Having a touch screen only left me with fingerprints all over my screen. I don't care what anyone says, Windows isn't optimized for touch. - So this time, I just went back to the traditional laptop. - So far I've been enjoying the laptop. The display is gorgeous. My only complaint would be he speakers. The tuning is just bad. They do include Dolby software, so you can custom tune them, and can make them sound much better. Why PC manufacturers don't care about speakers, I'll never know. Fingerprint scanner works fine, and the giant trackpad has been great. I've loved typing on the keyboard, and battery life has been great.

    3k seems like such an odd choice for resolution. I was always going to be fine with QHD at this screen size. But I will take what I can get, the big reason I avoided the older models was because 1080p just wasn't adequate for the type of sharp, line oriented art that I do. I might really consider buying one of these now.

    Great review but I had hoped you would also demonstrate if this laptop ran Android apps in Windows 11 and if the apps (like Android Clip Studio Paint and Nomad Sculpt 3d) recognized the pressure sensitive SPen.
    While I agree the Samsung 360's need matte screen protectors for drawing I am surprised you don't recommend upgrading the SPen to a Lamy ERM stylus to improve the ergonomics.
    A 2D (and limited 3D) art laptop/tablet that ran both Windows 11 and Android and both OSes recognizing the pressure sensitive SPen would be a very useful device.

    I had a HUGE issue with the Samsung Book 360. My screen cracked twice as well. The first time, I had it repaired because I had insurance. The second time, it cracked again without any physical impact or adjustments on my part. As a result, I sued the seller and won the case in court. The seller was ordered to refund the full cost of the device plus interest. So, if you are considering taking legal action due to this screen issue, you have a very strong case. I hope this helps. And by the way, the seller will also have to cover the legal costs, so don't hesitate to take action.

    You always do great reviews. Thank you for the effort. A question. I'm torn between the 16" i7 Book 3 Pro and the Book 3 Pro 360. I don't mind paying the roughly $150 more for the Pro 360 if there is reason to do so. I just don't need the pen, though the touch and 360 fold might have some use but are not my priorities. Are the Book3 Pro and Pro 360 identical except for the touch, the pen, and the 360 fold? Any other differences? Maybe in battery life? Does that vent I see at the back end hinge of the Pro 360 offer but not on the Pro offer any advantages? nits or brightness potential or glare? Is the Pro 360 looser when opened up beyond 90 degrees, does it not hold its position as well, say at 160 degrees which I'm guessing is the max open ability of the Pro, compared to the Pro? Other? Thanks for any added insights you can provide between the Book3 Pro and Pro 360.

    • @cammiluna
      @cammiluna ปีที่แล้ว +2

      From all the digging around I've done, the difference between the Book 3 pro and Book 3 Pro 360 is the touch screen and the hinge. Really, all the Book 3 models except the Ultra have just about the same exact specs with the i7 and at least 16GB of RAM. The non-pro models just have 1080p AMOLED screens, 60hz refresh rates, and smaller batteries, and the 13" 360 does not come with the pen.

    • @PersepolisBand

      I pulled the trigger and bought an open box Galaxy Book 2, but had to get a refund for some other technical issues.
      I was also sold on it for the Wacom EMR technology, and it is smooth as glass, no jitter. However I was dismayed that Wacom doesn't support it with their own drivers to give more options for the pen like customizing the side button and/or eraser tip (didn't seem to have one). I did try one of my ancient EMR Axiotron pens and it worked, but the calibration was off along with pressure sensitivity.
      Also, not a lot of options for alterative pens with 2 side buttons which I'm using on a 15.6 XP-Pen display tablet. It would be very useful. One note about the S-Pen: It's flat on one side to hold it to the laptop magnet. that flat side is a natural place to put your finger when drawing. The button to erase is on the round side and flush with the barrel of the pen making it difficult to find by feel. Unfortunate.

    Hi Lisa, Before I ask my question I just have to say that I love your reviews and always look to them before I buy any products. 😊 With that said, have you looked at the Huion Kamvas Studio 16? I'm thinking of getting that to replace my aging Surface Pro. And yes, I do realize that there are not any Thunderbolt ports or a full size or micro SD card slot but because it comes with the Huion Pentec 3.0 which I think is EMR technology, with the screen of 15.8 inches, it looks like it would be a dream to use for any artist to draw on. I just thought I would get your thoughts on it and if you're planning to do any reviews of it in the future? Thank you for your time and have a great day. 😊

    Not having a good time here. The track pad (uncomforable while typing, as it is too big) stops working ALL THE TIME. I have to restart my computer for the trackpad to work. The finger print quickstart doesn't work most of the time (it won't even read it), the speakers are not loud, particularly for such a good computer (16 inch), and, for some reason, the audio doesn't work on zoom. The pen works great, although I'm pretty sure I"m gonna end up losing it (the magnet for attaching it to the computer is not as strong as that in the surface, nowhere to attach it, so one has to be mindful of not losing it).
    For a new -not cheap- computer, I'm underwhelmed. Too many bugs.

    Does anyone know how it's to type on this ones? I am considering this one since it ticks quite a few boxes that I need, but I code a lot, so if keybord/typing is ok I don't have to lug around a keyboard as well.

    Great review! How do you turn on HDR 10 +? Is it the 'brighter' setting in Samsung settings?

      We show it in this video. It's in the Samsung Settings app.

    Oh I am pulling my (fantasy) hair out. 😣 This is almost a perfect product, but what is it with the glossy screen? Why do we need it??! If this is made for note taking and artists - why not put on a matte screen from the production? Arg. Not everything needs to be copied from Apple. Thank you for pointing that out the glossy issue, Lisa. Not many reviewers do that.

    • @mobiletechreview
      @mobiletechreview  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Touch screens are almost always glossy because they hold onto less finger oil and are easier to clean. But this one is particularly glossy, much like an HP Spectre x360.

    Any thoughts on the "don't grab from the centre of screen" crack prevention.?

    • @Von_RX
      @Von_RX ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The screen is much thicker than before with a strong aluminum structure. There is no flex in the chassis. Screen cracking should not be an issue with this model. I had mine for about 2 weeks and it is built like a tank! Note, I have ran into a defective display so need to return it. This is my 2nd GB 3 Pro 360. My first one had a rattle in the body like something was loose. Hoping the 3rd one works without any defective because this laptop is really amazing.
