  • This video, shot aboard the southbound Amtrak Cascades Train 505, shows the right/starboard side view of the entire train ride from Seattle King Street station to Portland Union Station in real time.
Please excuse the amount of grime and dirt present on the outside of the window of the Talgo trainset I filmed this video out of. Sometimes they in combination with the glare of the sun caused focusing issues for my camera.
At times during this video you will notice the trademark tilting motion of the Talgo train-set in turns.
Circa September 2021. This video was recorded in full HD and at 60FPS.
I've time stamped moments when the train made stops at stations and when the train passed by points of interest:

    0:10 Title Card
0:13 A quick external view of Amtrak WSDOT Siemens SC-44 Charger locomotive unit 1400 that will be pushing my train down to Portland, OR today. The video was shot on the Thursday after labor day during this past September. So September 9th, 2021 to be exact.
      And I just checked: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_Defiance_Bypass#2017_derailment
It says passenger service resumed on the Point Defiance bypass on November 18th, 2021.
So it looks like my trip happened 2 months earlier.
