There those who fish, with all the tackle, try everything and fail; there are those who quietly go about the job, thoughtfully, make no show and pull them out one after another, and provide a magnificent catch.
Great performance, annoying video. Someone had the brilliant idea to compress the dynamic range of the image in certain parts of it. I assume this was meant to be a "correction" for the complete bleaching of the brightest parts of the image during shooting. However, by making the whites gray, you do not regain the information lost in the bleaching: this is irreversibly gone. So it would be better to just leave it alone. OK, it was overexposed, but now it has two problems: overexposed AND dynamically compressed.
I did record this concert with a pair of very cheap HD cameras. (You can see one in the wide shot.) Lighting in the Concertgebouw is only coming from straight above, So I had to set things before the concert to a, what at that moment thought to be, appropriate level. Cameras were free running without live operation. This used to be my profession(I was a 'shader' for Dutch TV for many years) so you can imagine that I was as annoyed as you to find out after the concert that all horizontal parts were over lighted. I tried to solve that problem, during my editing, as much as possible, but this was the maximum I could do. Sorry! Audio was recorded seperate!
Piękno muzyki Fryderyka Chopina to fenomen graniczący z cudem.
3:43 - 3:54 . Such good pedal for exposing the high notes. Great interpretation!

@@jwhen01 Thanks for uploading anyway, it's still a great video.
Ah opus t50 number 3 my very favourite. I play it but not quite with
the nuance that Fedorova gives it !
highly forcibly
Quelle mauvaise interprétation... du Lipatti en 10x moins bon. Virtuose, mais pas artiste.
Dommage, tes raisins aigres.
