Bert asks a really great question about "What songs do you wish you had written?" but then interrupts to talk about himself and then loses track of the question. Well done, Bert.
He is the worst part about his show. This show would be amazing with someone actually conscious of what they are saying instead of constantly just being a douche.
@@Fanuc_Operator1990 Bert does it again at about 49:50. Corey is about to tell a really good story about how Dave Grohl knew Through the Glass was going to be a good song, but Bert quickly interrupts him to talk about himself again.
Yeah but in his defense, it's his ADHD brain that empatizes in that way❤ it's all love, but annoying af. I am like that, and I have to talk to myself not to do it 😅☺️
Gavin and Corey aren't comedians, dude. They have mere pedestrian brains, they're civilians, nowhere near Bert's level of insight.
This is an older episode. They aren't allowed to talk about his movie the machine yet. And he was at peak gut performance. He slimming down now finally. I like to think he's getting better but I lie to myself constantly lol
Bert's wife got her way in to get a good look at Gavin lol 🤣
You know she did! 😂
"Hmmm maybe I can go after him once the Muhhhsheen finally kicks the bucket in the next year or two."
I didn't see that. She looked at them all equally.
Hahaha. I half expected and wanted her to come in talking some sh!t to Bert but she just put on that smile. Lol Suspicious.
😂😂😂😂
This is the guest duo I never knew I needed!! Corey AND Gavin?! Like wtf!? Ayeeee Bert 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Y22 e 2u2!223
Corey and Gavin nodding their heads at "y'know you're wearing cowboy boots and a Speedo, smoking a cigar..." made my day
It’s gotta be wild for Bert to have probably been in college during Bush’s height and partying to their songs and now he is hanging with Gavin in his filming house for his cooking show. Bravo sir
Totally. He and I were at FSU at the same time and was peak Bush popularity then. Get Dave Matthew’s next ha
@@ryano913 my god, that would be so amazing. Dave is such a cool guy who also is really funny.
I know that this is his studio filming "house" and not his actual house. Yet his wife is "in the next room" overhearing their banter at the around 9 minutes in and makes an appearance. Was she hanging out backstage, was she recording something else in the same studio or was that planned in advance?
@@alcontrastdotcom it’s like their office I’d assume and she does a lot for Bert work wise so I’d imagine that is why she is there
Y’all are hilarious that you feed into his ego like he’s that much of a god. Bert will make everything about him when any musician dies.
Gavin quoting Meet the Fockers is defiantly something I didn't have on my bingo card
Gavin Rossdale is low key hilarious.
British deadpan humor, you have to love it!
really good timing lol
"Frank Black really said that to you?!" LMFAO
A sniper!
That British wit
Until you actually watch or listen to Corey dive into something you don’t realize how cool of a guy he actually is. He’s a big part of why I love Slipknot
Bert finally didn’t over talk. Great guests and convo.
@@MrBuketmanhuh??? Did we watch the same interview? I don't think Cory was able to finish a story or finish a single answer for a question. Bert suuuucks
He's the coolest dude ever
Agreed. He is mind-bendingly intelligent. Such an interesting dude
He really is. He’s so genuine and regular whilst also being thoughtful and funny. I adore Corey!
"That's what Frank Black said to you?" Rossdale for the win 😂
Gavin's hilarious!
Gavins slight jokes were too funny.
Gavin really does have a great sense of humor! I’ve talked to him multiple times & hung out before or after a show & people underestimate his humor. I wish he got to speak more in this episode
YES! Has such a dry and fast wit.
How about the joke where he pretended Brett didn't honestly know his marital status....... As if anyone doesn't know what a fool he was to mess that up. I was laughing so hard.
British
Gavin kindly trying to hide the terror on his face while watching Bert cook for him, priceless.
Corey being in that enviornment sober is an absolute feat. What a will that neck carries
Haha hell yeah. I was thinking the same thing. He even stated that Guinness was one of his drinks of choice as Gavin takes a big gulp 🤣
He’s in the metal world, he’s in way way worse environments
whoa is that why he's so skinny now??
He looked like he wanted a Guinness
@@downfan79 an addict is always a addict my man. He didn't have one so what's your point??
3 freaking LEGENDS….Corey, Gavin and Leanne 😀
The way Gavin is sitting on his hands when Bert talks about Gwen!😅
yep and from thae comments afterwards gav looked uncomfartable
And Corey just dying as how Bert keeps going. 🤣
He did that most of time
@@e_athlete😂lmao! He was dyyying. Hilarious. Poor Gavin was so uncomfortable 🥴
Gavin finally got a chance to speak once Corey started eating. 😂
word
That was brutal
Is Corey known for not letting others talk

Gavin and Corey are so down to earth and cool
I knew I wore a slipknot shirt today for a reason! 😂 HELL YES! 3 of my favorite men.. in a room together. Never in a million years did I think this would be a thing... but I'm SO here for it! Maggot FOR LIFE!
Love it when Bert tells legit celebs how impressed they will be with his cooking 😂😂
Gavin is actually a great cook, like chef status cooking. Im sure watching Burt cook this fish and chips he’s thinking what he would do differently 😅
That answer is everything.
@@screamingdaisies
@@screamingdaisies I agree. He’s totally judging his cooking. lol! This is the exact cooking show concept that Gavin has been trying to get off the ground for years now. Hopefully soon!!
These dudes are so giving and genuine. Seriously one of my favorite episodes. Biggest takeaway is that Gavin f’n Rossdale is taking guitar lessons to improve even at his status
Watching Corey Taylors last appearance on Steve Os Wild Ride is now ten times funnier listening to him tell Steve O "I just came from Somethings Burning and it was SO weird, me and Gavin Rosdale are just sitting there watching him butchering fish and chips" 😂😂😂
I don’t know if y’all get into music- Bert says to the frontmen of Slipknot and Bush😂😂😂
The fact that Gavin is humble enough to have a guitar teacher blows my mind.
Corey not mentioning HIMSELF as a person who has been in two icon bands is the most humble I've ever seen "the mouth"
I literally just wrote this comment a different way. My favorite bit was early and theyre both naming eachothers songs as what they wish theyde written
His Nick name is “the neck” btw but yes ur right
@@jasonhepler9648 also "The Great Big Mouth"
@@jasonhepler9648It's also "The Great Big Mouth"
@jasonhepler9648 no no, The Great Big Mouth is his OG nickname
I remember Corey stopping the show in Houston (Stone Sour's first tour after the 2002 album came out) after two guys threw me off the top of the crowd and I land smack on the concrete. he said they would leave right then if anyone else fell and folks didn't help them up. needless to say the pit and crowd surfing were much better after that. Thanks Corey.
Hey it's Corey and honestly I don't think about you at all but no problem
"So, how did it end?" May be the funniest Bert has been.
Too good lol 😂
Corey damn near died 😂😂😂😂
I love that Gavin still rolled with it and got a laugh out of it all.
I wish Gavin said with his deadpan English delivery “with a bang”
Corey: "playing in Rio is the shit, it's amazing
Gavin without missing a beat: "Great coke" 😂@1:00:42
He meant that with his soul 😆
my man just had a flashback lol@@alanheyes694
Gavin was talking about his kids streaming, and named my top 3 bands! Slipknot, Tool and Deftones! I melted in my chair! These guys may not realize but they raised guys like me like a pack of wolves. They’re part of the soundtrack to my life. I remember discovering both bands back in the day, and it changed me forever! Hard times, break ups, these guys got me through it all! I’ve seen Slipknot in Tampa at least twice! Corey, you’re a god amongst us mortals!! I am forever in these guy’s debt! Growing up in the 90s was the best time ever for music! Bert, you won my SUB with this one!
I give props to Bert to have these 2 incredible artists in his house and try to cook and interview them. It’s gotta be tough
Obviously it's very tough for Bert to not just talk about himself constantly.
He's good under pressure
Wow. Gavin and Corey look AMAZING. Such a nostalgic episode.
I wish this episode was 4 hours long!
Wanted to hear more from Gavin because I didn't know who he was before.
yeah its weird how bertcast can be 3 hours but not this? let the shit ride damn, do it raw dont even edit it hahaha
Bert putting his foot in his mouth AGAIN about Gavin’s divorce 😂
Just a reminder - Gavin is literally a grandfather and still looks like hes in his 20s
Watching the beers set in and make conversation is perfect, makes it relatable.
Right? It’s like a totally different room. Everyone should drink beer
Stfu. Crazy that these two are on the show together. Both were staples for me coming up in 90s/early 00s. Amazing energy/performance on stage too 🔥🔥
" Do you want a bump? No I'm tryna look for a coffee" lol
I saw Bush a few weeks ago and I couldn't believe how good Gavin sounded. 30 years on and his voice is in tremendous shape.
You have to have Gavin on a solo bertcast. I really want to here him talk more
You wouldn't get too lol, bert never shuts up
word 💯
Gavin is the absolutely sweetest man I’ve ever seen. What a great trio this is! Great watch!
Probably not the sweetest cheating on his wife Gwen lol
A Bush / Stone Sour tour with alternating headliners! Gen X needs this right now!
Love this so much!! Almost cried when Corey talked about Greedy Fly. Bush doesn’t get enough credit. I have loved the band for decades. Thanks for doing this interview Bert. ❤
Same! I was stoked when Corey said ‘Greedy Fly’ was one of his fav songs- that has been one of my all time fav Bush songs!
my earliest memory is falling in love with slipknot. saved me from childhood trauma, 25 now and still my favourite band. ❤️
*Silverchair, Bush & Slipknot are huge pieces of my youth roots in music. Kudos to Bert for mentioning Silverchair & bringing Gavin & Corey together.*
I need to know which song he was talking about with Silverchair!
Silverchair, hell yeah
I still listen to the frogstomp album all the time, 2 favorite tracks are suicidal dream. Shade and Pure massacre
👍🤘🤘👍
@@jimmyquick7115 *That’s been my favorite album from them since I was 12. Solid album.*
Gavin and Paul Rudd are from the same non aging planet....and Corey love it bro, keep it going as long as it's fun...we get it. Thanks Bert and crew for bringing this one together
Gavin coming in with all the best jokes was a surprise
Yes! Super funny dude!
Actually the best joke by far was when Brett asked Gavin if he was married. The biggest laugh the whole show. Even funnier that Gavin actually thought that there was any chance at all that Brett didn't already know that one.
They didn't get to finish one story 😂 classic Bert
LMFAO how does Gavin Rossdale end up in Bert's kitchen? The entire concept is funny in-and-of itself!
The title should've been "Bert botches fish 'n' chips for two more legends".
Great episode!
One Love
Gavin is a legend. I grew up on Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase.
Bert asking Gavin about his ex was one of the funniest things ive seen all year. My gut hurts from laughing. Thank you sir.
Banger of an episode Bert. You're a lucky man.
Rumor is he cheated on Gwen with their nanny. She must be a smoking hot nanny to cheat on Gwen Stefani.
Gavin's lasik/Stevie Wonder joke was hilarious.
3:21 Bert is so ready to talk about himself that he almost misses the answer to the question HE asked 😂
27:42 Chef Gavin is about to go full Ramsey on Bert 😂
Bert asked what the greatest thing about writing a song is and Gavin actually snapped around to look at Corey because he was genuinely interested in the answer. I just didn’t think I’d enjoy Gavin that much.
Watching Corey and Bert talk about what they enjoy most in their careers together is just incredible to me.
The best "Burning" ever! Great musicians, great stories and the 2 mesh perfectly.
Gavin and Bush was such a massive influence on me in my teenage years as a fledgling musician. So much love for him.
I love how bert completely dodged answering corey when he asks him to name 3 nirvana songs 😂
Bert: "I'm making fish and chips"
Also Bert: "I'm making French fries"
Do you know what the “chips” part is?
@@_brett_ this comment went a bit over your head I take it?
That's what they're called, so I guess it went over my head as well. Where's the joke?
@@jeremyc9593 "dOrItOs R cHiPs"... The world knows this... That's the joke
Corey: awesome I'm a pescatarian.
Bert: oh good.
"Did you know he was in Nirvana?" I legitimately cannot tell if Bert was being serious lmao
Good job, Bart. 2 icons on and all you manage to do is make everyyyything about yourself
Absolute LEGENDS! Bush was the first rock concert I had ever been to. It was DallasReunion Arena, December ‘99, with Bush and Blink 182 as the headliner. I think I remember Gavin falling off the stage during his performance. Corey Taylor is probably one of the most gifted and talented musicians to ever grace a rock stage. There is so much talent and rock history in Bert’s kitchen in this episode, I have no idea how he cooked anything. Best episode yet!
Bert out here killing it with stuff you never thought you wanted watch!
"Smoke a joint talk to your trees" 😂😂😂😂
Corey nailed it when he said he’s been 17 years sober but misses only whiskey and Guinness. I’m 1 1/2 years and I agree 1000%. Don’t miss anything else.
Corey reppin the Alice In Chains tee❤❤❤
Burt busting Gavin's balls about Gwen. 😭😂
1:09:20 watching Bert slam down that full glass of beer in about a few seconds as those two look on then Bert saying I still kill beers was funny & impressive to end this episode.
Gavin is one of the great last frontmen doing it. Highly recommend Bush live!
I feel like Gavin is thinking “This meal is going to kill me”
This was such a great interview. I absolutely loved hearing their stories of how much they went through to get to where they are. It's was incredibly motivating and inspiring to hear.
Gavin is HILARIOUS! Would love to see him on more podcasts!
He was on steve o wild ride. It was great
Crazy how the best part of this was the last four or so minutes when Bert finally shut up and let them talk for more than two seconds
Loved the episode! 2 of my favorite all time singers just chillin out! Gavin is so calm and reserved while Corey is in your face! But once Gavin gets going, he’s a riot!! But I think it was hard to get a word in edgewise with the Bert and Corey
Bro Rossdale's tattoos are so fucking rad, I love black work like that. That was an awesome episode though!
The collaboration I never knew I needed! Huge fan of Corey Taylor. I was just at his show in Montclair last Tuesday. It's totally awesome to see him here chopping it up with one of my favorite comedians.
what Corey said at the end was great, we’re all just bombarded with the newest, greatest, most popular things every day, it’s hard to seek out the things you love anymore 🤘
big respect to slipknot for playing the classics at knotfest in australia this year. made my childhood dream come true. also the line up thank you for including pwd and knocked loose.
This was awesome Bert 💙💙 Gavin Rossdale is a cool dude
Very genuine and down to earth dude for sure..just went to a Bush show last weekend 💯
I have truly grown to love Bert and his ways. These guests are incredible and so unexpected. As a lifelong fan of music/metal everything this was so RAD!
Two absolute legends. I couldn't click on this fast enough when I saw who the guests were in the thumb nail.
I wish this went on for 5 more hours! So freaking good!!!! I just saw Corey's live show in Orlando last night and hands down one of the greatest shows of my life!!!
Bert bringing up Gwen was all of us who grew up listening to them
The two rockstars at the end give the best advice for music
Bert. This was awesome…thank you for bringing these 2 legends in a room and making all of us laugh
I always look forward to a new Somethings Burning episode!
I loved both Gavin and Corey's songs they did with Apocalyptica. They're both awesome in their own rights.
This is by far my favorite episode, 2 absolute legends and they seem so amazing. What a show
So cool hearing Gavin talk about the AIC tour because I was there in the pit in ATL. Have a video of him running through the crowd
This is the first episode I’ve seen and honestly what a fantastic hour that was, really enjoyable conversation/interview 🖤👍 loved Corey talking about the cat house here🤣
I love that Corey is wearing an Alice in chains shirt
Probably the first Something's burning I've watched from start to finish. So good.
I guess you gotta love the host for this because the guests don’t really get to talk and this guy talks a lot about himself 😊
That’s Bert for you!
This is definitely my favorite interview he’s done yet.
Two of my favorite song writers/bands of all time. You rock too, Bert. Great combo.
I could watch this episode 20 times in a row! Hilarious.
This is definitely the best thing Bart does. Iver specials, Bertcast, even 2 Bears, imo
Corey and Slipknot hands down put on one of the best shows you'll ever see, makes sense now to hear him say how he approaches his concerts.. seen them in Saskatoon, Canada and i will return to every show they put on from now on.
This is one of my favourites yet 😊 I adore both musicians and this style of interview really shows a wonderful side to them all!
“Sushi in a hot blanket” ahahahahahha Gavin.
Haha Bert constantly talking over them, going on tangents before they answer. Its the only way, love Bert. Funniest part was Gavin finally getting in all responses in the end. Really admire him and his career.
Bert is as pure as it gets. So enjoyable, the three of them 😆
