Catching squid off a kayak in Simonstown with new squid jigs.

- So I popped into a local tackle store and have slowly been noticing one brand bringing up more and more unique products.
Taking a look at their squid jigs I was instantly sold. The whole jig glows, has holographic details and is the right colours!
So Jeanre and myself had a small competition to see who would catch the most squid... After a while of nothing I lent her one of my spare pink jigs and it was on!! We ended up with 5 - 3 (me winning for once!)
These jigs are called:
Fishman Squid Hunter Deep Seeker (70mm)
Whales were all over the show too! Bliksems!

To be honest I love both!
Each has their own perks, I love the Trident for bottom fishing or easier shorter trips (20km or less) and I use my Stealth for longer trips.
The Stealth gets tippy out in rough conditions (for me) but I cruise at bloody good speeds.
Honestly I would use my Trident a lot more if I had a fish finder in it. 😅😅

Gingerbeard Kayak Fishing you would think that we would have cool kayaks like that here in Southern California, but there is nobody here that manufactures high performance, fishing kayaks made of fiberglass or carbon fiber! It’s pretty much Hobie peddle kayaks, which are really nice, but I would love to have a Stealth Fisha 555 to fish off of!🎣😃

Cpt. Gingerbeard Kayak Fishing I’ve talked to Brett through their Stealth TH-cam channel, he’s a super nice guy! They can definitely ship a Stealth kayak to Southern California. What I was looking into was if they had a local dealer in my area where I could see a Stealth Kayak and possibly demo one! Unfortunately there is nothing in my area. One of these days I might have to visit South Africa for an awesome vacation and visit the factory in Tongaat!🎣😃
