Hate to leave a downer of a comment, as much as a special moment the whole ordeal has been for both of you, it’s such a hard watch for me, I’ve gone through the trauma of losing 2 myself, and seeing how happy you both are is difficult, you’ve both done so well, and I couldn’t be happier for you. Great news that little Alfie is sorted and back home. As you said the Guy and Girls of the NHS are just unbelievable. When my wife had our second daughter she was diagnosed with cancer and has treatment from 30 weeks. Once Madeline was born they did so much for Ali as she was destroyed from the birth and treatment she was going through. They saved both Alison andMadeline and for that we will never ba able to repay them.
This might be phenomenal for you, for the staff, it's a regular weekday. A bouquet of flowers is the peak of appreciation they will even confess to accept.
I was in hospital for 2 months when I was first born, I weighted 2 pounds. I was told when I got older. I was away from my twin brother and my family for 2 months, but thats why we love the NHS… and it’s just honestly amazing seeing these Vlogs, it brings a sense of joy and happiness when I watch them. This brought back so many memories, my youngest was born august 2022 and she had to go back in to hospital for light treatment 3 days after she was born too! She was in a funky incubator with the blue lights though and she didn’t get a fancy space age head visor, just an eye mask 😆…… So glad it worked wonders for him in the end! 🥰

I am loving the dad diaries. Both of my children had jaundice resulting in stays in hospital. They are now both in their twenties and over the years you forget the smaller details of their stays in hospital. The dad diaries have brought back memories long forgotten including the joy of being a new dad. Thank you for letting me relive those memories by proxy. So glad that Alfie is good now ...Lydia ...you talking about the labour pain it's a pain you can't really describe 48hrs in labour that was good to be honest my daughter in law was in labour for 3 days but it took 8hrs to actually deliver my grandson Sidney..I had 2 emergency C sections with my 2 I'm glad I had one with my 2nd because he was 11 lb born .. I can't be any happier for you guys you are amazing ..❤

Watching your Vlogs over the past couple of days has taken me back to when my daughter was born (she’s 5 years old now). I still remember the day she was born and I will never forget it. Time does fly so quickly, before you know it, he will be in school and you will wonder where time has gone. I completely understand when you and Lydia were talking about the things that we, the audience, didn’t see on the video because there’s so much that goes on off-camera, both up and down, it’s far from straight forward and unless you’ve experienced it first hand, you won’t understand it. Becoming a dad was the best thing that ever happened me and watching your child grow just makes you so proud and is so heartwarming.
I have been watching you for probably close to a decade now and it's insane to me to see you with YOUR OWN SON 😭 All of the TH-camrs I watched as a kid (and still watch) are all getting married and having babies and it's so heartwarming to see. Watching your Vlogs over the past couple of days has taken me back to when my daughter was born (she’s 5 years old now). I still remember the day she was born and I will never forget it.
Time does fly so quickly, before you know it, he will be in school and you will wonder where time has gone.
I completely understand when you and Lydia were talking about the things that we, the audience, didn’t see on the video because there’s so much that goes on off-camera, both up and down, it’s far from straight forward and unless you’ve experienced it first hand, you won’t understand it.
Becoming a dad was the best thing that ever happened me and watching your child grow just makes you so proud and is so heartwarming.
I only hope I can watch these weekday vlogs for the next 10 years
I have been watching you for probably close to a decade now and it's insane to me to see you with YOUR OWN SON 😭 All of the TH-camrs I watched as a kid (and still watch) are all getting married and having babies and it's so heartwarming to see. I have to sons one is 7 and one nearly 3 and I never put them down, there only baby's for so long make the most of it. Cuddle them as much as you can ❤
