wow, wow wow, actually R200 is actually an amzing tip, in US dollars its about $11. Thank you on behalf of our people. I believe they greatly appreciated it🙏
Thank you for visiting South Africa and contributing to our tourism and hospitality sector! You are very conscious couple, thank you for noticing the social issues of our nation South Africa has a long way in providing better basic services and housing for the poor Hope things will be better one day and the country will have a corrupt free government which is pro the empowerment of South Africans to end black poverty
Great video guys. It was a "fix" or me. I'm hooked (travel there every 3 months and stayed there during Covid) on the country (and continent) but now sitting in DC like an addict -- itching to get back (6 more weeks). Your story touched on the experience of many. Like you, I travelled everywhere and had a great time and then I (on a lark) and solo travelled to South Africa and realized how much I really didn't know about things there or and how much I overestimated everywhere previously. Africa easily blows those other destinations away. Even my beloved Spain became boring lol. It's seen me once since then. It's , very, very, very sad that many African Americans are not aware of the type of life possible in Joburg due to negative information provided by non-Africans and misinformed Black folks. They stubbornly "think" they know and live entire lifetimes unaware. Everyone of all races needs to see it for themselves. Blacks to say they know how it feels to be the normal one in society and whites to understand the opposite. Going to Joburg is as easy as going to Atlanta, DC or LA except South Africans are more laid back, no profanity, no Karens, no micro-agressions , no disrespectful behavior and no nonsense. And, Africans love us and are the warmest people on the planet. Since my first trip, I've been to over 15 African countries and experienced th same. Africa is a life changing destination and SA is an easy, affordable place to start. As you have seen, it's a different vibe that possible in the USA. In fact it makes living in the USA feel like living in a trash can, with regards to people to people interaction. Look forward to seeing your adventures. PS: Try to return to Cape Town during the Cape Town International Jazz Festival Weekend. Thank me after afterwards :)
@@WeAreTheCrawfords My trip was indeed. I remember sitting in my seat as the plane was taxiing and thinking "You thought you had it figured out. Travelled all over the world only to fall on my face there". Since then, I NEVER take Africa travel advice from non-African sources (they fail miserably -- even to this day) -- only from Africans in Africa or diaspora.

I’ve cried REAL tears LAUGHING at your recollection of your safari trip! Lol. I traveled from Atlanta to Cape Town this past March and had the most memorable and amazing experience of my entire life and I was moved like you guys when I was heading out to a safari trip and was heartbroken when witnessing some of the poverty in the townships. A couple of guys and myself went back and fed and gave out a lot essentials to the people, it was the single best experience of my life. I’m heading to Johannesburg in March 2025 and I pray to have a great of an experience as you guys did. By the way, if you’ve yet to visit Cape Town and the time of my post, please take a trip to the top of Table Mountain, I smoked an incredible cigar on top of the mountain while sitting on top of the mountain looking out at Robbin Island, the next best experience of my life. ❤

I can tell you that he is definitely a Sowetan and everything he was saying on that video was on point and fact. I would definitely recommend him.
I didn't know there was a non stop flight to Johannesburg 😢 When I went, It took me 23 hours. I stopped in Dunai once, then another time my stop was in Doha
One of the things us South Africans don't appreciate is poverty porn, someone feeling sorry for us coz we live in informal settlements etc. Poverty exist in every country and by the mere fact that America is almost 5 times our population, I can tell you that America has more homeless people than SA and majority of them are black people
HUSH! You tripping! They weren't "feeling sorry" for anybody. You dont understand the CONNECTION we feel to Black People. Especially in South Africa. Many of us protested in the 80's when we found out about Apartheid. Of course there are many poor people in America. And actually you are INCORRECT when you say the majority of homeless in America are Black. No actually they are white, just as the majority on welfare and food stamps are white. Quite as kept , you probably are white.🤦🏾♂🤦🏾♂🤦🏾♂🤦🏾♂
