Armando you nail it, the way you explain for anyone to understand how important is knowing how important is the knowledge of the lights in any shoot, that the difference can shows the control and you can create a great Dop.
I never NEVER thought about the effort or tools required to "set the mood" and tune the lighting in a video. Watching you here, I have learned a lot and I am motivated to try some new tricks.
Hi Sir, I'm from India from Advertising background. An Art director who is very much fond of lighting and EFX making. It was a good presentation. Thanks.
Lighting is a topic that is often shown in other videos but not explained the way you did in this video. Understanding concepts, theory, reasoning behind lighting is extremely useful and kind of lacking on TH-cam. Learned a lot here!
I've been refreshing all day for this! Edit: Love the idea of the blinds with the cookie-cutter! Ended up using a cardboard box and cutting lines into it lol!
Man a lot of y’all complain so much, then get mad when people save all their good stuff for patreon or paid courses... Just be glad that he gave the secret sauce behind a dope lighting set up for free... I’m 75% through a lighting course I paid for, and they haven’t broken down a lighting set in this depth yet... Instead of chastising him for showing off his gear, look at it as motivation to step your game up so you can get there too... He didn’t start with a C500... so why hate on the fact that he worked his way up to one? Did y’all talk trash when he had a 70D or Gh5 (Don’t know if he ever had those just an example) Shit he got me ready to sell my 3 pocket 6k cameras & Eva 1 and buy a c500 or maybe it’s little brother...
I don’t recall him ever saying this was a budget video, so why is everyone complaining lol, it isn’t his fault he has access to God level video tech 😂 just take the basic concept and apply it to your setup, at the end of the day light is light and it behaves in the same general way
Lots of DIY ideas from this! Especially like the idea of making light patterns. Could easily do it with cardboard, but a jigsaw and a sheet of plywood would last longer. Light stand clamp to hold it, OR you could affix a small metal rod similar to what's showcased here. Best part? You can make your own custom pattern. Fun project! Thanks Armando.
Btw, you should mention the spanish version at the beginning, not end, as im unlikely to go back and watch in spanish but more likely to switch (if im spanish) at the beginning.
Great step-by-step tutorial on lighting for an interview/person. Look the teal/orange color treatment. Love to see your "take" on lighting a outdoor night scene (without spending the entire budget on one shot).
Decided to create a cinematic lighting setup video for less than $100. inspired by this, one of my first videos! Thanks for the content. So cool! Stay safe
Cool video dude. Nice to see how you go about it. Im planning yo get some new lights soon, still on budget but something that lets me get a softer look.
Hi @armando thanks for the geart video, Wow , i have a question, with lens do i have to use (sigma 16mm 1.4 vs 30mm vs 56mm f/1.4) in combination with my Alpha 6100? in order to have more or less the same frame in your video?
I love this guy! He’s like Marie Antoinette haha, love the videos. I’m over here all excited because I bough a jib one with a canon c200 and this guy is doing TH-cam Lighting with a $5000+ budget. This guy is next level and doesn’t even realize is customer base 😋 Lighting tips and tricks: First things first, buy 5000$ in lights and accessories. 😂
Armondo: If your on a budget You can use a 5 dollar Shower curtain.....ON A $2,000 LIGHT LMAOOOOO
5 000$ set up
exactly
😂😂😂😂😂
hahahaha
If you bought a $2000 light, you might be on a budget for awhile and need this trick... lol

One of the best lighting tutorials on TH-cam. Explained well with examples. Highly recommend viewing.
Armando to followers: "What you want to see?"
Followers: "Help with lighting"
Armando: "Well first, you get yourself about $150,000..."
:)
Lol $150K is a stretch here. But I’ve included budget options in link and you can do this same setup for under $500 easily!
jajajaja meanwhile I have 100$ in my pockets
hahah! true!
@@mondobytes Maybe do THAT video, then?
Chase Daley I already have on Instagram millions of times.
I never NEVER thought about the effort or tools required to "set the mood" and tune the lighting in a video. Watching you here, I have learned a lot and I am motivated to try some new tricks.

Amazing lighting setup, thanks for sharing wonderful lighting ideas
Nothing new here, yet I stayed until the end because it's well done at perfect pace. Beautiful work!

3:16 If you're able to afford the Luxli led light, you're no longer on a budget. Just saying... :P

I loved that this video was creative and not just another 3 point or 5 point lighting flick, which every blogger puts out .... very refreshing
This is so helpful. Thank you for sharing Armando.

agreed. It clearly says techniques and tips. Nothing to do with cost of gear. You can work the same look with a less expensive gear
