No that’s not true. This voice actor was only the Hifumi in the anime, which is Tyson Rinehart. Not the game. Hifumi/Kiibo have a different voice actor named Lucien Dodge.
It wasn’t specified of his gender preference, it only was said that Kou liked ‘someone’ with a cute smile. So people sorta take advantage of the fact it was never said to actually be a girl with a cute smile, and ship Mitsukou a lot. Spoilers!: (I’m one of those people, but like come one, how can you not? It literally said in the anime AND manga that Kou was important to Mitsuba, plus in the manga Kou considered the idea of actually dying for Mitsuba just to ‘be together forever’ in death.)
Though I dont care what people ship I just thought id mention this. Kou has a crush on nene, its seen through many arcs that he has had a crush on nene and other cast characters have also confirmed that kou likes nene. Though mitsuba and kou together is cute I can only really see them as close friends. (Do not hate this is just my opinion on the matter)
