I was just out in Portland and corvallis area's back in November, visiting my brother. Took amtrak for the first time while out there. Hope to do it again soon. A truck driver in Boston was killed on a construction site when the granite curb he was delivering was accidentally pushed off the side of his truck while he was on the opposite side of the truck wrapping up his straps. Retired OTR here. I84 was one of my favorite routes along with US395 from Cali thru Reno and further north. I80 is also spectacular along Lake Tahoe but not in the winter. Route 6 running thru Utah is also spectacular but watch out for large boulders in your lane as you go around the mountains.
Glad to see the scenery! I drove for thirty years but stayed from I-40 and South out on that west side. Did make about three trips running team on I-80 from my hometown of Indianapolis to San Francisco then down to LA for the reloads. Found out what Boomtown was then.Great Memories! Serious suggestion on tire chains 2 options to use either ones made in Canada made tougher what tow trucks use last a lot longer, or one the truckers use in alaska they have extra spikes on the chain links to dig in more.😊

I used to run I 84 a lot when I was transporting criminals. it's so beautiful through the gorge. I miss it. we ran the i5 too and everything in between. jail, prison, mental health hospitals, clinics, etc.

I was just out in Portland and corvallis area's back in November, visiting my brother. Took amtrak for the first time while out there. Hope to do it again soon. A truck driver in Boston was killed on a construction site when the granite curb he was delivering was accidentally pushed off the side of his truck while he was on the opposite side of the truck wrapping up his straps. Save your money like there's no tomorrow and don't buy frivolous stuff and a bunch of junk . When you get to retirement you'll be a millionaire and set financially for the rest of your life and can do anything you want. It comes faster than you think. Tomorrow you'll wake up and you'll be ready to quit trucking and you'll have the money to do it. IN STYLE!! I'm not telling you what to do but just giving some knowledge that I have acquired. Let me just say this. And I believe this with all my heart. When kids are in high school, there should be a financial class taught about how to plan your financial future and it should be mandatory to take it or you don't graduate. When the school year is over they should give you a folder with all the info you learned and on the front it should say: 'Keep This Folder !For The Rest Of Your Life Because You're Going To Need It.' Retired OTR here. I84 was one of my favorite routes along with US395 from Cali thru Reno and further north. I80 is also spectacular along Lake Tahoe but not in the winter. Route 6 running thru Utah is also spectacular but watch out for large boulders in your lane as you go around the mountains.
Glad to see the scenery! I drove for thirty years but stayed from I-40 and South out on that west side. Did make about three trips running team on I-80 from my hometown of Indianapolis to San Francisco then down to LA for the reloads. Found out what Boomtown was then.Great Memories! This little gal does it good. Enjoy watching her !

Serious suggestion on tire chains 2 options to use either ones made in Canada made tougher what tow trucks use last a lot longer, or one the truckers use in alaska they have extra spikes on the chain links to dig in more.😊

I used to run I 84 a lot when I was transporting criminals. it's so beautiful through the gorge. I miss it. we ran the i5 too and everything in between. jail, prison, mental health hospitals, clinics, etc.
