No, that would not work. If you have more questions about your system and how to integrate things, please reach out to our team at www.audioadvice.com. Thanks for watching
Should have included LDAC for us Samsung users . My phone only does legacy APTx. I've found that LDAC actually sounds better (and looks better on paper) anyways. 🤷♂️
That is a good question. It auto switches between the four rear physical inputs but we did not test to see if one of those turning on will override a Bluetooth feed. We will do some more testing
I love the idea of this but am still a little confused as to what this device can do for me. could it for example be used as a preamp just for streaming? Ie straight into a power amp using the volume say on an iPad? If not can I attach it using XLrs to an integrated amp? If so is this good enough to achieve hi end audio? - whilst I don't have a Mcintosh middle bit I would definitely consider it as the speakers I have just bought are definitely high end (Monitor Audio Platinum PL500II's - enormous at 1.845 metres or 6ft.05 inches) I love McIntosh and am now in a position to put some $$'s into it - help please!!!!!
Hey Nelson! Sounds like you have a great system! Call or chat with our team of experts at audioadvice.com. We'd be happy to go over your system and see if this or another piece of gear could make it even better ☺️ cheers!
@@AudioAdvice Thanks I will definitely do this - great videos you guys produce - I used to sell hi-end hi-fi hundreds of years ago in the eighties - things have moved on a bit - since then but a great sound is still a great sound.
The power supply looks suspiciously cheap would a alternative power supply with same 5v 2.4a from monoprice work or will it potentially break the unit?
We would not advise that, it could void the warranty and with the way McIntosh is so into power supplies in all their units, they probably felt while this looks puny, they may not have found one that actually sounded better. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice let’s say your preamp has xlr output only so can you run xlr out from preamp to xlr input to transceiver then run your monitors via xlr out from the transceiver and still use as Bluetooth receiver or is that only for the transmitter?
We agree, triggers would have been cool if they were able to change inputs automatically or make it flip from receiver to sender, but for that this costs, it does perform very well. Thanks for watching
We mention in the video that if you just want music streaming there are other options that might be better, but we do feel this is a very useful unit for a lot of people with the multiple ways you can use it. Thanks for sharing.

Very cool to see McIntosh making transceivers like this. Thanks for the review
Our pleasure!
Excellent option for a bedroom tv setup. Thanks.
We think so too
Could I connect the coaxial out to a subwoofer, thus with a poweramp we will have a 2.1 system?

It would be nice if the phone giants would pick a standard and all do the same thing! Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice Agreed.👍
Can you run xlr and rca at the same time?
They are both active but bear in mind you will get more output from the balanced ones. Thanks for watching
Excellent video!
Glad you liked it!
Hi, if I had this connected to a turntable and my phone, will it auto connect/play whatever one is playing did you say? thanks

@@AudioAdvice or what about plugging an eternal dac via xlr out from external dac to xlr in to McIntosh mb20 will that extend the performance?
I was disappointed to find that there is no power button and no trigger control to hook to my existing McIntosh system….

I wish theyve included wifi & streamer for better signal compared to bluetooth

MB25 announced, today.
Yep. It sure looks much better.
@@AudioAdvice it does. Especially with the backlighting. I’m setting a reminder to pick one up, next month.
We hope you'll consider getting one from audioadvice.com! Thanks!
