    What boat launch is close to that area your fishing at. I live in Florida would like to hang out in that river during the winter. Thanks and thanks for a awesome video and info on the jigs.

      Thanks man! There are a handful in this area, but most popular would be Lake Townsend Preserve, Trails End and Rutland Park.

    Been jiggin for crappie since i was young and i must say its one of the most exciting ways to fish especially when they're biting.. takes no time to fill a 5gal bucket. From Okeechobee Lake Fl to central NC..

    I’ve caught some really dark crappie in the spawn, but I’ve never seen crappie that absolutely black on back with the green tint. I’m assuming it’s due to the black water. Great fishing. New sub

      It's the bottom of the lake making the water look black. If you put the water in a cup...most likely just stained water.

    Excellent Video
    I was admiring that small reel attached to the the ACC. Can you share the details on it; and or recommend others similar? I'm looking to get into some jigging real soon.
    Thank you and please stay safe.

    what material is that weed hook made of, how long, and what is the hook at the end ? Outstanding method of crappie fishing I never tried in pond. Gotta remedy that! Moultrie, ga

      The telescoping pole we picked up at Home Depot. The angled piece of aluminum at the end is just something we had laying around and JB welded it to the end of the pole. Glad you liked the video! Good luck out there!

    Where do you get a telescoping rake like you have?

    • @brentallenoutdoorsfl
      @brentallenoutdoorsfl  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Mine is a homemade deal, but you can find the telescoping rods at most pool stores or even the bigger chain hardware stores.

      Their darker color in this river is due to the tannins in the water. The more coffee-colored the water, usually the darker the crappie. At least here in Florida anyway. Good eatin' no matter the color though!
