I love venezianico. I own 2 of their watches: Nereide Tungsteno Blue Dial and the Redentore Ultrablack 40mm. This new Nereide Tungsteno 39mm with mop dial is breathtaking. I only wish that by now, Venezianico would offer a new bracelet matted to a machined folding clasp. This said, I'm in love with this watch. Thank you, Jason, for your great work.

Been telling them for some time to use Miyota 9 series movement. They listened finally ❤ Also 39mm is a tasty size for my small 6,5 inch wrist.
If you ask me, I am more about Miyota 9 series movements rather than regular Sellita SW... Every watch I have with regular Sellita caliber in it has worse daily rate, than my Miyota series 9 watches. Take my Nereide Avventurina +12 seconds per day. Add the fact to that, that servicing Miyota is much cheaper, you have the same sweep second hand and also Miyota 9's are slimmer and it starts to be obvious, why I feel the way I feel about those two movements. I am not saying that Sellitas are bad movements. I have some regulated Elabore Sellitas with incablock in a few watches in my collection and I am really impressed. I am only saying about those basic Sellitas that are not even regulated by the watch brands... Maybe it is just my bad experience and tough luck...
STP movement which they used in MV 3.0 (swiss made) is the best movement they used so far in their watches - Nereide line.
SW200 it makes sense in at least elaborate version, the best is in COSC version.
@@WparuSlowach agree, have two Nereides and one old Redentore with the swiss made movements.
Rather than lauding Venezianico for its achievement at long last, I have always scratched my head why Venezianico was getting away with relatively chunky builds at relatively inflated prices with the NH movement, while competitors can make thinner and more appreciable products using Miyotas. I'm glad they finally woke up to that fact, adjusted their ways accordingly, and started better justifying the price tag in the process. The slimming course is badly needed for their Redentore line as well. Thinner with higher grade movements, perhaps there will be a future Venezianico I'll find harder to pass on.
Please compare it to Nereide 3.0, they you will see step back in few key aspects of the watch. Thank you.

Swiss vs. Japan movement.....who cares? The watch runs. That's the bottom line, and both source countries do the job very well. Movement snobs can just move on now.....I've settled the argument for all time.
Miyota 9039 is also a date-less calibre. That helps thin the watch as well.
Venezianico once again gives us another great piece to desire.....even with a butterfly clasp. Too bad they can't do a folding clasp. I'd love it more. Love the bezel insert too.

Great review but this watch seems basic. Nothing about it pops for me. The dial, bezel, hands, etc just seems like a parts bin special compared to some of their other releases.
