It *is* his fault he decided to get in a relationship with an apprentice, conspire with his father and step brother, accuse Squirrelflight of claiming he was like his father because she called him out on said conspiring and being neglectful towards her feelings, mentally abused her and guilt tripped her every time she said anything that offended him, left her and screamed at her in public IMMEDIATELY after he found out the kids weren't his without even giving her a chance to explain, didn't even talk to his kids until Hollyleaf showed up again, then accepted Squirrelflight back into his life only after he became deputy and had to think of someone who could be a fit successor. Yes, Squirrelflight lied to him, but do you really think she thought she had a choice. Her sister was a medicine cat, *and* had babies with a Windclan cat. She probably thought he'd be furious because that's all he ever was with her. Did you not notice how quickly she lost her dare-devil personality and boldness after she got with him? That's because every time she spoke her mind she was yelled at. She was probably terrified at the prospect of Brambleclaw finding out her medcat sister had kits with a Windclan cat. Brambleclaw is immature and insecure. Yes, Squirrelflight should've been more responsible in some situations, but can you blame her? She's over 6 moons younger than him. She's about half his age. She's young. While she was supposed to be on her journey of warriorship, she was dealing with Brambleclaw conspiring with two evil cats and silencing her when she so much as told him not to get too trusty with a Riverclan cat. (This isn't an attack on you, specifically, just a posted opinion for anyone who happens upon your comment to think about.)
@@ZOOBAZOING Not to mention people criticize her for lying but what about him TRAINING IN THE DARKFOREST? And STILL lying about it?? He got mad at her for suggesting his brother, who actively was training in HELL with him, was evil and pretended she was being ridiculous; firestar lost a LIFE and he received NO punishment for allowing his riverclan brother into their territory to set up said trap. Even though leafpool knew they were up to no good too, but clearly she was talking out of her moss and didn't know anything. smh
@ZOOBAZOING it's really sad bcz in some ways squilf was pushed to get together with brambleclaw because of that prophecy that happened in the books, I think it was a visual of her and brambleclaw walking together.
