Thanks for this. Most sources make SaaS and PaaS sound similar. This made a clear distinction.

This is what messed me up on the 220-1001. I had no idea Cloud was going to be so in depth.

Everytime I do practice tests, i get these wrong. I had to come back to understand it.

Did you end up passing 1 and 2 yet?? If so, for 2 were there any materials that really helped?? I'm bout to take test 1 for the second time, should be able to pass pretty easily at this point but idk about core 2 yet lol

This video almost makes me want to start my own "x as a a service" business lol

Is there a clear distinction between metered service and measured service? They just seem so similar I always get these two definitions mixed up.

I've watched this video three times now since I get tricky pretest questions about those two.

Metered has more to do with billing, measured is about tracking your own usage. Please correct me if i am wrong, anyone.

I'm having difficulty distinguishing between Rapid Elasticity and On-Demand. They sound like they do the same thing. Can anyone clarify this for me? I got a practice test question wrong on this and it is driving me crazy trying to understand the difference. Thank you in advance!

I think rapid elasticity refers to its ability to expand and reduce in size of a certain function when you want to - you can reduce ability in one function to give the other function more resource (elasticity referring to expand and reduce in size without changing the actual mass of an object). On-demand actually sounds like it goes with elasticity part, but I think it has more to do with its ability to add different types of clouding or add more resources toward a function when you want to. I am also confused on this, so I might not be right. Please do let me know if you have better clarification!

@@Jaewonshin93 That was a helpful answer. That is how I answered the questions on the 220-1001 exam and, right or wrong, I passed the exam. Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it!

Elasticity is usually associated with meeting demand through scaling up/down the resources already provisioned, On-demand deals with scaling your operations for new software offering or storage requirements. Think of elasticity as a fine-tune characteristic used to adjust already provision resources for better cost-efficiency and on-demand as an inherent benefit to cloud computing when dealing with operational expansion for new servers.

@@776manic This is a beautifully articulated response and seems correct to me. Thanks.

Elasticity has to do with expansion of storage face to meet the demand of data in use. This function decreases storage billing to more precise increments. Whereas demand means that storage availability is there on demand without having to move your data to any particular volume.

Android Studio is a programming environment that runs on your local computer's operating system. Android Studio is not a cloud-based application.
