You are getting good results with your Dstretch. When I visited this site, I had horrible lighting, which resulted in half the panel being over exposed. I can't remember, but did you by chance visit the other big pictograph a few miles south? Oh, don't forget, but the Petroglyph Festival in Ridgecrest is happening Nov 2-3
Thanks for the heads up about the festival. Yeah, the D-Stretch is pretty incredible. I wonder how many other layers there are that have now faded into oblivion. I have been to the site a few miles south-if it’s the same one you’re referring to. Seems like a lifetime of exploration. Wonder if you’ve learned about these sites the same way I have.
Apologies for the delay. Unfortunately I don't think I'd be able to make it. If you do go, there's good dispersed camping up Echo Canyon and Hole in the Wall, and free camping up the canyons off of West Side Road. The former require stopping at Furnace Creek for a permit. -Eric
