Nothing but the utmost respect for Mr. Johnson! He's still a class act. I'm just so daggummed sad that I didn't get to see him when he was here in the "Big D." Next year. Maybe? Fingers crossed ...
@@FreshlyWILD I have always loved tommy for his power an how tight he is, but I loved him much more when he played in the fusion style he had with the electromagnetics.

Well he just prefers playing them with improvisations. So it's different for every stage. Also I think it's one of the reason Eric makes mistakes a lot nowadays. He has the idea wich he wants to play, but his fingers aren't acting fast enough like they used to.
Love him. Massive influence. I just wish he didnt improvise so much. The recorded solos remind me of my youth. The improv is always hit and miss for me.
EJ sounds exactly the same as he did in the early 90s. How is this possible? This man is nothing but pure talent.
After all these years still fricken amazing!
Love how EJ can rummage through his pockets for the thicker guitar pick during a solo...
Adam Tarr I thought so at first, but maybe he was muting his cell phone lol
...A SCISSORS AND AN OLD CREDIT CARD,,,A GREAT PICK!!!! JOE WOULD APPROVE...
Beautiful. It's fun to see TT back there, lost in the music.
What an increíble tour the force, switching on pedals while singing and playing intricate chord arrangements.

@@FreshlyWILD He’s had other drummers: Bill Maddox, Wayne Salzman.. just to name a few.
EJ PURE TEXAS
boss camera work
Thanks
whats with the different high E saddle??
It's narrower than that stock saddle, which prevents him from bending the string "off" of the edge of the fretboard.

I can't get over that he's 65 with liver spots and jowls. He seemed like a teenager back in the late 80s.
EJ amazing as always! But so is your camera, which one did you shoot this video with?
I Use a Panasonic Lumix FZ2500
@@1AnitrasDance Thank you! Love your channel
Non Eric Johnson strat thru Hiwatt, sounds great
The Hiwatt is Kyle's bass head
@@WarriorOfGhengisKhan Thanks man, I realized that after I posted
Is that Lindsey Buckingham's brother on Drums? lol :)
wow that cable is thin
Can't understand a word he's saying--but of course vocals aren't the point. Drums mixed way too loud.
He never remember the solos.
He doesn't like to play them note for note live.
Of course he does dumbass, he wrote them. He doesnt want to play them note for note.

My man EJ, although amazing has indeed lost a step....
