Le Mans has three classes of cars all racing at the same time, and each car is split between three drivers. The top two categories are all pro drivers racing prototype cars, but the third tier (which drive Corvettes, Porsches, etc.) has both professional racers and “gentleman drivers”, basically rich guys who can afford to race for fun. Even finishing the 24 hours is a massive deal, but sometimes these gentleman do win. A few years ago i remember a guy who owns a bunch of car dealerships won so it does happen and it is very impressive
I met Greg Pickett I was at a mechanic shop he pulled up in his Bentley I asked him “who are you and he said have you heard of muscle milk? that was me I was like no way thats cool! and you have a yacht master on! He laughed and said boy you notice too much 😂😂😂
Fantastic podcast! I really enjoyed the story about Muscle Milk being a family-owned, family-operated business. In an era where VC funding and billion-dollar valuations dominate, it was refreshing to hear about a business that thrives in a cul-de-sac family environment. The way one product can be marketed through different perspectives to target various audiences and create more value for the company was also insightful. The spotlight on the Headway app and its marketing strategy was excellent. I also loved the story about Scott Galloway’s approach to making money in risky situations, paired with solid insights into Mohnish Pabrai, Warren Buffett, and Charlie Munger's approach to business investments-especially their concept of the 'too hard pile.' Thank you for continuing to entertain and inspire!
Intellectual property iz king, I get royalties from songs. I think its the ultimate way to go. I wonder why they call it royalty, probably you feel like a king when you get the check quarterly
Headway is one of the companies of Genesis Tech, a startup incubator that has many similar successes, Ukranian Y combinator. Genesis own usually 51% and hires the CEO and gives them 49% when they meet the target
What is the address of the vegan rock you’ve been living under? Who hasn’t heard of Hormel foods? Not a hater. Love your show. It is funny that most of middle America knows exactly what hormel is and didn’t occur to me that a large portion of the population wouldn’t know, likely purely due to cultural preferences. Hormel is not to be confused with hillshire farms’ “go meat!” of course.
the king of copy is back. Artificial breast milk... Shaan, is that what you drink to come up with these thumbnails? Seriously you guys Rock. Started a newsletter and now have 479 subscribers. I also have 3 clients that im writing and doing storytelling/social media for. it's AWESOME. None of this would have happened without your podcast. (specifically the how to master storytelling episode) Y'all are amazing. Keep it up.
Hormel has been around forever and EVERYONE from the Midwest knows this, def not a West Coast connect the dots - EXCEPT here in Hawai'i where we of course know exactly who makes SPAM! 🤙s

You can get kinder, gentler milk. Just make a couple of phone calls and be prepared to pay 12-15 dollars per gallon.

Having the idea to create the flavours under its own entity to then license jt out is pretty… pretty insane stuff
