Charlton was better than best
Charlton was so much more consistent. He won England a World Cup, won the Ballon’dor, was constantly in the world 11, and was the main reason Manchester United won all of the trophies they did. Look at what happened to them after Charlton retired, they got relegated even though best was still in the team
