Ronald Reagan was elected President of the United States 🇺🇲 and when the Notre Dame football 🏈 team win the national championship in 1988, they went to the White House and met Ronald Reagan
He said "win on for the Gipper" in this movie and he said "win one for the Gipper" as a two term President of the United States. Ronald Reagan had an amazing life. And he was always a gentleman.
@@harlembofill4206 Have you not heard of his football years where he offered black kids to stay at his house when they were refused at hotels? Or how he hired at the time the most blacks and Hispanics during his stay as California governor? Give me a fvcking break
Used to be if you were a Catholic boy in America you dreamed of one day running out of that tunnel with your gold helmet shining in the sun. Hope one day that feeling returns. Never got to, but maybe my son will. But even if he doesn’t I am training him to root for the Irish and to be proud of his Catholic Heritage..
How is it that Ronald Reagan hardly ever aged throughout his acting career and his 29 year political career. Considering he died about 64 years after this movie came out, it looks like he only aged about 10-15 years in that long span.
'Fraid @Morbius is right. Reagan was physically fit during most of his life, and I'd even grant he could sometimes pass for being ten years younger than his actual age, but methinks you're exaggerating just a tad.
I'm reading through his autobiography, and unlike his colleagues he didn't wear any makeup or go through surgeries to extend his appearance. He just worked out for at least two hours every day, went horseback riding often, and ate healthy meals all his life. He was just a naturally good looking man who did all the right things to stay that way

''I guess the boys are just tired.''
Only Reagan could've delivered that line with both class and savagery.
Jimmy Stewart
Please he was know a straight Racist 😡
@@harlembofill4206 that's Joe Biden.

A truly WONDERFUL ⭐MOVIE 🎥
Mr President was so handsome when he was young

@Adolf Hitler Yep…Proud of it too.
Dualism destroys calmness, but we can be serene in the oneness of things if we are patient and concentrate.
That George Gipp is something else. I wouldn't be surprised if he became President one day...
I only saw 66 once in all those clips and he wasn't even involved. Still one of the greatest football movies.
0:50- The very 1st TD spike. It evolved since then.
Also, I think that was just bad tackling on that play.
Reagan looks badass here.
Probably because he was the only actor here who had actual experience as a football player!
George Gipp ran thru the Brandenburg Gate: "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."
George Gipp made it to the White House for two terms.
And oversaw the slaughter of many an innocent brown person.
a great film.
Looks like he will be president or something one day
Yeah, Tyson's comment
Imagine acting next to the future president of the United States and having no idea 😂
The Gipper was like the original Rocket Ismail.
th-cam.com/video/McTod6zpYBU/w-d-xo.html Krusty knew it!!
Haha! Great reference. I loved watching Rocket play for ND as a kid. I think I was in grade school....my god time flys.
Nam?

You have rose colored glasses on my friend

@@vincentsartain3061 Yes I am exaggerating. But you get the point. Lol. Maybe a little more than 10-15 years.

Archie Bunker's favorite motion picture.
How is it he gets tackled at 1:54 and then just gets up and runs in for a touchdown anyway? When he was clearly down? What rule was that?
Did they just say freshman from high school. You're kidding
College freshman, and then named the high school he came from.
Calumet, Michigan
Kennedys and a Truman...
BS George Gip was #66
There were no assigned jersey numbers during Gipps decade
They didn't have numbers on jerseys back then. In fact, the first football uniforms were made of wool or cotton sweaters with no padding
They didn't have numbers on jerseys
The most unathletic football players I’ve ever saw
but the toughest no doubt, they played for something that modern D1 players don't even think of.
This is 1913. Football was different
This is 1918. Football was different back then
Well they are actors, other than Ronald Reagan who was in college football they probably don't have much experience 😅
