I got my trill right away, stabilising it is another story. I think an easy way to learn how to trill is to envision a loop between two notes instead of a back and forth. Using portamento to keep them connected and going faster until your trill. Also if you're a classical singer, I wouldn't lower my larynx or try to use resonance. Use a thin and soft comfortable voice to make it easier to let go.
