Those have been around for ages. My son is 28 now, but when he was born, they put those little mitts on his hands so he wouldn’t wouldn’t accidentally scratch his face. I had no idea what they were before that. When he had his newborn picture taken before we left the hospital, the photographer told me “when they’re in here (the photo room), they belong to me.” I was kind of pissed off when she said that because he had just started to fuss when I handed him over to her. She literally held him tight and turned away from me when she said that as I was trying to touch him and I asked him “what’s wrong little guy?” I had his hair nicely brushed, but she goofed it up. Then she took his mitts off and he immediately scratched his cheek. So I still have his newborn pictures with his funky hair, and brand new, bright red scratch on his face, not to mention a swollen, red face because he’d been crying. He must have had a sense that she wasn’t the most pleasant person. And back in 1995, there was no such thing as Photoshop or filters.😊
