Lucky Doug - he is passionate about what he does - reviewing cars - and he's got the talent to bring the information across to the viewer in an intelligent, knowledgeable, genuine and humorous kind of way. He speaks fast, but is clear to understand (no gaps, or what many others do, filling the gaps with "ah", "ehm" etc.). It's a pleasure to watch his shows.
Doug's video on the Abarth convinced me to get one as the first car I bought myself. It sounds and handles like a legitimate supercar, and the build quality is a lot more solid than what most say. Despite the tight suspension and dampers, going over bumps yields no rattles or sounds anywhere, and the abarth community and available mods are fantastic. Get one while you still can if you're crazy like me😂
I got in one after sitting in a 500 (one of my least favorite cars of all time - I hate it). It was amazing. It sounds like a third of a ferrari engine the gearbox is engaging, the feel of speed is very real in that car. It made me laugh it was so fun to drive.
Yeah Fiat's baby is the Abarth and ive noticed the build quality to be a little better. I love the 500 despite being 6'1, 360lb with a 50" chest lmao nothing drives like them!

I had an Abarth 500 and heartily concur: what a fun little ride. Amazing sound,* good steering and handling feedback, quick (and with a lot more power waiting with a simple tune + intake), and a playful character that encourages shenanigans. The biggest downside for me was cabin space: I'm not quite as tall as Doug but I'm over 6'...and a bit bigger on the x-axis (a-hem...). It was pretty cramped in there. Still, it was a lot of fun and I miss it. * That great sound was a bit tiring on longer road trips, I have to say; you had to crank the tunes to override the drone, which meant only music that works at high volume. Fortunately, I'm a bit of a metalhead...

I would like to echo your sentiment on the 2005 Ford GT, I had the extreme privilege of driving a brand new one from one lot to another (relocating a Ford dealership), it's genuinely an amazing car at low speeds, and "getting into it" (didn't get to really stretch it's legs, as I was only moving it a few miles). Life-changing drive, imo, and it's been one of my dream vehicles since (unfortunately, that would've been like, the BEST time to buy it, as they've only appreciated since then)
Can confirm about the fiesta st. I wasn’t even in the market for one and then drove my friend’s. Fast forward 2 months later, I went and got one. It’s by far the best hot hatch I’ve ever owned. And I’ve owned GTIs and Civic SIs. I’d take the fiesta over those.
Great list, but have to chime in on the GT350 R. It is, hands down, one of the biggest mind F's of all time. Doug is truly spot on here. Mustangs, even now, still have the straight line dominant group think behind them. Not many mustang owners that we've talked to really understand the GT350/R at all. Yes the PP2 significantly ups the handling prowess, but you get into a GT with a PP1 or PP2 and then get into a GT350R, which we've done back to back, and it's just a completely different experience. Mustangs should NOT be able to do what the GT350/R does. It really does warp your perception of the modern day muscle car. Seriously one of the best driving cars of today.
The Pagani Zonda definitely has to be one of the most insanely beautiful cars you've ever reviewed. It's as much tasteful art as it is engineering & machine.

The ford gt is definitely the ultimate supercar. To me you have the exotic look with the American muscle sound. It ages very well compared to a lot of exotics. Older exotics just look really old within 10 yrs compared to the ford gt.

The ford gt is definitely the ultimate supercar. To me you have the exotic look with the American muscle sound. It ages very well compared to a lot of exotics. Older exotics just look really old within 10 yrs compared to the ford gt.
That's probably because the Ford GT looks like it came right out of the 1960's already.
