Any chance of a discussion of why the wires go where they do? Or maybe a list of what each one does in the process? Would love to build one. And with these instructions I can. But I would like to know why it works.
Could you connect that tone to a transmitter, and use a locator/receiver to find the tone? Like putting the Tone Generator underground and using the receiver above ground to find it?
I made one of these in a empty marker pen as a audio tone injection probe useful for testing mic pre amps stages just adjust the level in and listen on the output
Ok, i was thinking, can you use this to set a transistor to change frequency of ac or dc, high voltage or high amperage? Great set out of video, clear and easy to understand without BS!!!
Very good video. Congrats. You ve earned my thumbs up and subscription. Could I suggest a tdr (time domain reflectometer) maybe based on arduino for your next project? I tries to find on the internet but nothing. Think about it.
i was wondering if this could be also used as a lfo since it goes under 20hz?? i want a simple vco/ lfo to controll some of my guitar effects via there expression jack
+Jimme Iroawuchi umm you need basically to use an inductance capacitance resonator, and a transistor that is able to handle switching so fast. Why do you want this? For wifi?
I need to make six of these that can create different frequencies ranging from 180hz to 630hz, and operate them all at once. can you help me with values. I own an oscilloscope and know how to use it for fine tuning.
I tried to reply, but YT doesn't let people post the names of stores and places you can get stuff cos it thinks it's spam and then automatically deleates the comment without telling you (you can tell if you try to go back and edit it, it will return an error when trying to save the edit). I just wrote like two huge paragraphs trying to help you out, but YT hates it when you try to help people out in the comments. I bet your comment actually has a bunch of replys from different people that never posted because they got auto nuked. *rolls eyes*
Can you tell me what range Frequencies? Also i meed help figurong how to connect plants w biofeedback deal and i know synthesizer is involved..want to hear plants sing 🎶 thank you, perhaps i could email you then speak via phone at some point? In Missouri
Hey sir, im from malaysia and i have some trouble in my final projects. I just want to know how to combined the buzzer circuit to audio circuit (amplifier circuit). Please help me to solved that problem.
Hello !!! i have a problem...i can't set it for higher freqvencies it going from 0.10 hz to abaut 200 hz... what is the problem in my conecctions...? If i skip the potentiometer ..just its sounds maxx about 200hz ... tank u.. sorrry for my bad enghlish
Hi I'm new to circuits so if anyone can explain a few questions that would be great! One is how do I connect the mosfet to pin 5 if I'm using a breadboard? Why are the numbers for the pins switched(sorry i'm new to circuits). And do I really need an amplifier to connect to the speakers, or can i just hook up the solar panel to the speaker and that should be fine?
Im thinking in the range of Dog training. IF i can create tones I can hear but dogs can. And I set this up to be a button push scenario. I could train a dog to respond to a push of a button.
It may be that there's a certain range of resistance that the circuit needs, given all the part tollerences, and one pot is for calibrating the other pot so that it is adjusting the correct range of resistences to make the circuit work properly. It may be that if I make this cuircuit I will need 350Kohm -400Khohm range, but you need 300Khohm-350Kohm because the part values we both used differ quite a bit due to their 1%, 5%, 10% or 20% tollerence (when all summed up at the end certain circuits can need calibration to make them work, some don't care but a fair bit of "audio" stuff does).
Stone Cold7 It's connected between pin 5 of the timer chip and ground. Pin 5 is the "Control Voltage" pin. This is the reference voltage for the comparator on the threshold pin. The small capacitance from pin 5 to ground helps to stabilize this reference voltage for more stable operation.
The capacitors u used in the video can produce 1kHz to 20Khz frequency? Say, I will not change anything u used in the video I'll just use exactly the same components from this video I will be able to get 1kHz to 20kHz?
I want u to know that me and my thesismates would want to use your design as a part or our prototype for our research about using frequency to delay ripeness of fruits, I will put credit by your name.
hello keystonescience i realy like you films i wart to make an arc speaker but i got an problem i have no potencjometrs to make an tonem generator did i realy need tchem to make it? PS ewen of i have them i wil not use them (you no what i mean) [i have problems to speak englisch
+ECHOP no problem, I made a video on a simple plasma/arc speaker, but it is nice to have to potentiometer so that you can tune it to the best frequency that will resonate easily , but I suppose you could likely do it without them if you want to calculate the correct frequency then use some math to calculate what resistance needs to go there to give you that frequency
electronic circuits can be visualized by the use of schematics, try to use them next time, it makes for better understanding of the circuit you are explaining.
Where can I get these materials? Please help...very urgent. Mother has cancer and our last resort is trying resonating frequency to destroy cancer cells.
i love how straightforward this is, i’m sure i could replicate it very easily. but i have no idea wtf is happening lmao
Any chance of a discussion of why the wires go where they do? Or maybe a list of what each one does in the process? Would love to build one. And with these instructions I can. But I would like to know why it works.
Dude! Where has this channel been all my life. I'll come here often.
"Thank GOD", and thank you very much for your support and time 😉 REALLY good simple video 😉
Very clear explanation, and no wasted time.
Thanks ! ! !
If you have trouble changing the tune, try putting the 500k pot. In parallel with the 20k pot.
instead of making a tone generator ca a use a boom box to produce diff amplitudes
Nice video. I am new at this, but is there such a thing as digital indicator for the potentiameters to be sure you are at the right frequency?
Could you connect that tone to a transmitter, and use a locator/receiver to find the tone? Like putting the Tone Generator underground and using the receiver above ground to find it?
What is the frequency range we get from this circuit ? Pl. Tell.
I made one of these in a empty marker pen as a audio tone injection probe useful for testing mic pre amps stages just adjust the level in and listen on the output
A very handy device! Thanks, and great video.
Ok, i was thinking, can you use this to set a transistor to change frequency of ac or dc, high voltage or high amperage? Great set out of video, clear and easy to understand without BS!!!
could this generate a frequency of 17khz and above?
Please explain what each component does in the circuit. That would be very helpful.
Thank you for the awesome video 🤌🏻
Can this circuit be used as a PWM signal?
what is the hertz range it emits?
Very good video. Congrats. You ve earned my thumbs up and subscription.
Could I suggest a tdr (time domain reflectometer) maybe based on arduino for your next project? I tries to find on the internet but nothing. Think about it.
Hi Mr. Keystone Science. Is it correct to say that the 2 potentiometers are being used as fine and coarse resistors?
What device is used to muffle or greatly reduce very loud noise???
Nice sawtooth waves
i was wondering if this could be also used as a lfo since it goes under 20hz?? i want a simple vco/ lfo to controll some of my guitar effects via there expression jack
Is there any way to produce sounds in the kilohertz range, like around 20-30 as a vicious dog repellent?
is it possible to put in 2 1/4th input and out put jacks to turn this into a guitar pedal
Thanks, nice video. but i want to see how to make a tone generator in the giga hertz range.
+Jimme Iroawuchi umm you need basically to use an inductance capacitance resonator, and a transistor that is able to handle switching so fast. Why do you want this? For wifi?
Keystone Science what is inductance capacitance
i would also like to see a video on that, for a tesla coil driver
I need to make six of these that can create different frequencies ranging from 180hz to 630hz, and operate them all at once. can you help me with values. I own an oscilloscope and know how to use it for fine tuning.
That's all good but how does it works ?
Do you know how to do the same with Piezo technology
Can you use this circuit to oscillate a current and power a transformer and get a higher voltage at the end of the transformer?
Where can a beginner find these supplies?
I tried to reply, but YT doesn't let people post the names of stores and places you can get stuff cos it thinks it's spam and then automatically deleates the comment without telling you (you can tell if you try to go back and edit it, it will return an error when trying to save the edit). wonderful..... works fantastic
Great to hear :D when I use mine I only power it with 3v and that works better I think
+Keystone Science ....what are you thinking next to build?
+lopez stallon to be honest I'm not too sure, I usually procrastinate until Tuesday then film and edit it to post on wednesday, any ideas?
+Keystone Science Hmm.....how about a gyroscope or a electromagnetic levitation device or a static electricity generator?
+lopez stallon those all sound pretty cool, I think I will try to make one :D
The music is awesome...
is it possible to use the circuit in an intercom system or pbx
Can you add some other signal source over the principal frecuency?
Can you apply that for under water applications in the 100 to 500hz range? (Asking for a friend lol)
有難う御座います。
🎌👀👍
Can you tell me what range Frequencies? Also i meed help figurong how to connect plants w biofeedback deal and i know synthesizer is involved..want to hear plants sing 🎶 thank you, perhaps i could email you then speak via phone at some point? In Missouri
Hey sir, im from malaysia and i have some trouble in my final projects. I just want to know how to combined the buzzer circuit to audio circuit (amplifier circuit). Please help me to solved that problem.
for this circuit? it would just be one end of the buzzer to pin 3, and the other to ground.
Is there a way to make a sweeping tone generator example a tone that makes a sweep from 0 to 530 Hertz in 6 seconds
Listen I am a complete newbie around those thing. All I want to ask I how will I possibly increase the frequency
can I connect it to a small sort of speaker?
Hello !!! i have a problem...i can't set it for higher freqvencies it going from 0.10 hz to abaut 200 hz... what is the problem in my conecctions...?
If i skip the potentiometer ..just its sounds maxx about 200hz ... tank u.. sorrry for my bad enghlish
Wow, nice video....I'm wondering that how can I use it to make a cell-phone jammer?
this is a tone generator
@@DI-xe8vq lol
Maybe you can try connecting it on a phone charger at very high frequency , charge a phone , and there expect what will happen .

Thanks for the videos
plz do a video on how to hook up a FM sound chip to a MIDI controller!
didnt understand anything you said, but it was pretty dope
Hahaha thanks xD
Also can this generate tones we cant hear? And if so. How do we monitor those?
Im thinking in the range of Dog training. IF i can create tones I can hear but dogs can. And I set this up to be a button push scenario. I could train a dog to respond to a push of a button.
yes you can
what is the board called?
What if you'd like multiple different wave form types?
Cann we produce the sound frequency in mega hz???
Can i do this with only one potientometer why do you need 2?, i got one in my kit but no more is this circuit still possible with 1 poteintmeter
It may be that there's a certain range of resistance that the circuit needs, given all the part tollerences, and one pot is for calibrating the other pot so that it is adjusting the correct range of resistences to make the circuit work properly.

Exactly what I am looking to make..what would you do to extend the frequency range higher? Or lower? Thx bud
Use or experiment diferent capacitors into the 4.7 capacitor plot.
can this cancel out other frequencies?
hey buddy i have a question can we reach the range of ultrasonic wave frequency
answer me as soon as possible please
+Abhimanyu jyani theoretically yes, I'm not sure how high it can reach, but defiantly in the ultrasonic range
so mate can you tell me what should be the range of potentiometer and the capacitor and the resistor i mean there new values for ultrasonic
can you lease send me the cleared circuit of this project in a bread board plz
What a great channel!
Is it possible to get it to 58khz?
I would use this with my moog synth
how much frequency is generating?
+Keystone Science I have the TLC555CP but it doesn't work can you help me please?
I followed this exactly, and I get a tone thats adjustable but its only working from like 1hz to 60hz
How would you make it 40khz?
where do u get this stuff i want to start trying it :)
write to me to dexdug@gmail.com, i ill sent you the beguinners guide minibook - Forrest Mims
AWESOME..
Bro can i generate sound frequency of 25k hz by the help of this circuit
Already you can, I just changed the 4,7 capacitor to a 0.01 capacitor and I generated a lower Frecuency.
What is the point in the .01uf capacitor.
Stone Cold7 It's connected between pin 5 of the timer chip and ground. Pin 5 is the "Control Voltage" pin. This is the reference voltage for the comparator on the threshold pin. The small capacitance from pin 5 to ground helps to stabilize this reference voltage for more stable operation.
to what frequency is this circuit
IS IT POSSIBLE TO PRODUCE 1Khz to 20Khz tone from this circuit?
+Marella Zalameda yes
+Marella Zalameda by manipulating the capacitor and resistor, you can probably get up to 500 kHz for this 555 timer
The capacitors u used in the video can produce 1kHz to 20Khz frequency? Say, I will not change anything u used in the video I'll just use exactly the same components from this video I will be able to get 1kHz to 20kHz?

how about 400-800hz?
Wouldn't be one Potentiometer enough, just the frequency range would be limited?
Good videos
You got a new subscriber!
hello keystonescience

Rife frequency healing
Make a dub siren
thats amazing also

How to measure the Hz
Dark Energy look at your ruler. one side should have inches and centimeters, the other side should have Hz.
After you said "let's go ahead " for the tenth time in one minute, I had to leave.

this didnt work for me. my power supply's jumper cables just started smoking
Do you think you could speak a bit FASTER!!!? I guess the end of the world must be upon us...
