Two way street on that advice thing. You can only tell people what worked for you. Due to extenuating circumstances, body chemistry, and personal preference, not every thing works for every body. That, and people sometimes just aren't in a place where they're ready for said advice. That being said, when someone who's been there offers advice on how to get through it, why wouldn't you at least listen, ask questions (if possible), and take it into consideration? Do you have something against learning, and, possibly, bettering yourself? It's usually just good old Pride that stands up and gets in the way, and he's a great big sum'b itch!
