I can't believe this is an introduction video for WayV's debut because this vid screams professional and the boys looks like they have been in the industry for a really long time
because they have (kinda), well at least some of them.
Kun, Xiaojun, Ten & Winwin already had stage experience even before joining SM Entertainment.
Xiaojun was a musical theatre actor and a contestant on xfire (where he auditioned with his self-composed songs). He has multiple fancams pre-debut from different occasions (acting/singing). He was also on a TV program with his brother and father (who's also a known figure).
Kun was known of too, he participated in his school's singing competition and won the first place, served as the school announcer and a cultural media company in Beijing wanted to take him for special training. He has many selfmade pre-debut songs. In 2011 he past auditions for a spin-off of the super popular Chinese idol group Tiger Boys and made it into the boy group CHANGE. So he's been multiple times on TV and stage as well. He also starred in a movie as a side character.
We know about Winwin's education and that he has been performing on stage too.
Ten won the Thai television show Teen Superstar in 2011 at a young age. He earned the opportunity to sign a contract with Starship Entertainment and passed the audition for YG Entertainment before joining SM.

Lucas is the face of this group and one of the most promoted members in NCT period and he would bring a lot of attention to WayV. The are a superior unit with the visuals and talent to outshine a lot of groups.

NCT has the "unlimited members" concept since the beginning, it's obvious that they will eventually be part of NCT.
WayV IS an unit of NCT. SM just had to partner with a chinese label (maybe a SM sublabel?) to promote them and change the name of the unit due to the Kpop ban in China. Probably why their debut was delayed for ages.
