Table Tennis Robot HP-07 Unboxing, Installation and Review

  • This video ia about Unboxing, installation, and review of Table Tennis Robot. The brand name is HP-07 or Huipang-07. We ordered it online to level up our skills in the game.
    During this Pandemic where we cannot go out of the house more often, we must only train inside our homes.
    This Table Tennis Robot is very cheap, about 200 US Dollars only, including shipping.
    Although it doesn't have a digital controller for spins, frequency, and side-to-side oscillation, this analog one is already enough.
    Speaking of side-to-side oscillation, Newgy Robopong 545 and the Joola series iPong V200 and lower don’t oscillate side to side. It is one of the primary reasons why we decided on the HP-07. iPong V300 can oscillate side-to-side, but the shipping fee was too expensive.
    So here is our HuiPang-07; for at least a month of use, we can say it’s durable, reliable, and consistent considering its low price.
    The Robot’s weight is about 3.5 kg and about 4.5 kg, including the adaptors, metal plate, and this bowl container for balls.
    Rated voltage is compatible with 220 V outlets here in the Philippines. The rated power is 36 watts, so it does not consume so much electricity.
    Ball spin is topspin, backspin, sidespin, although we have not tested it yet, and there is this side-to-side oscillation. I’ve seen the Newgy Robopong 545 or 1055. It oscillates but on two fixed locations only. This HP-07 oscillates continuously, and it throws balls depending on the adjusted frequency. So, at a given frequency, it may shoot starting from the far right of the table then, far left. It will then continue throwing at about 2/3 or ¾ to the right, then 2/3 or ¾ to the left, then to the middle, and return the cycle to the far left. But the shooting is not random since you can estimate the ball position based on the time of ball frequency and the angle of the robot’s muzzle. Thus, it’s a little more challenging than other robots that throw the ball at two fixed positions alternately.
    Ball frequency would range from 40-70 per min; we had not tried the higher frequency range. Maybe I will include that in my next review
    The ball speed, according to the packaging, is 4-40 m/s. Maybe we can try that later.
    The maximum ball storage capacity is 110 pieces, but we are contented with 100 pcs. With some balls missing already, maybe around 80-90 balls were used here.
    Although there are options to buy this table tennis robot with a netball catcher, we bought our net separately at a lesser price.
    You can load it with 40 and 40+ balls. According to the instruction, please don’t mix it. We use 40+ 3-Star Huieson white balls.
    The robot doesn’t oscillate up and down, but you can adjust manually.
    I think that’s all about a concise review of the robot after its unboxing and assembly. I will give a more detailed review later.
    So I hope you like it, mga ka Barkada, until next time. Happy practicing.

    Hi, were you able to get a consistent ball placement when using the oscillation? I get a very random result like 1 ball at the left, 1 at right, then 2-3 on the center and then again in the left. I have trying adjusting the frequency and the oscillation setup, but nothing. In your video at 5:34 there was one ball threw to the center of the table after several from the left and right side.

      Good question. That is also my problem when I started using the oscillation function. I am also expecting that I will have the same ball placement similar to that Newgy robopong I played once. Thus, instead of a fixed 2-ball placement (forehand-backhand only) or a 3-ball placement, the HP-07 (since the control is sliding only ) gives a cycle of oscillation. Maybe thats its weakness for being less expensive.

      @@camdebomb4378 Yes bro, after 6 months of using, it is worth the price, time intended for regular practice, and space at home. I did not regret buying it. It does not come with a net, it will be more expensive if you order with a net. I think you need an additional P5000-6000 (USD 100-120). It's better if you can look for other stores. I bought mine for P1700 (or 32 USD, SF included ) only, the same manufacturer.

    hi @Barkada can it serve heavy backspin with two bounces on opponent side table... like professional table tennis serve?

    • @tabletennisbarkada6276
      @tabletennisbarkada6276  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it can serve heavy backspin. The number 7 backspin in the controller is strong enough. However, you need to adjust the muzzle of the robot launcher. There is a screw there where you can loosen it and then push the muzzle downward depending on your desired placement. Everything is manual, but at a cheap price, I think it's worth it.

      TIK TOK 3D, Hi! That's a good question. If it is between you and the robot only, without any help 1.) it is a good form of exercise, it improves your stamina and footwork. 2.) it automizes your response to an incoming ball, thus it is a good reinforcement of strokes. But if you are expecting to level up your game, I think you need support to maximize the benefit of a robot. 1.) first you need a training partner, get a video of your strokes and compare that to the moves of professional or top players. 2.) You need a coach, or a trainer to really assess your strokes. Because if your strokes are not correct and efficient, you will just reinforce that wrong strokes. Thanks for asking!

    Can the robot throw an backspin balls

    • @tabletennisbarkada6276
      @tabletennisbarkada6276  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are 4 knobs in the controller (analog only and not digital, it is even in Chinese characters). The 1.) leftmost knob is for power and for the frequency of the throw, the 2.) next knob is for the oscillation of the muzzle left and right., 3.) the third is for topspin/forward rotational speed, and 4.) the last one is for the backspin/reverse rotational speed. They all maximize their speed as you rotate the knob to the right or clockwise. Thanks!
