      You're talking BS, them ovie trully is good, you only prove here is that movie specialists and critics like you suck. Screw you're precious Oscar winning boring and lame movies like Joker from 2019. Screw your stupid overrated overhating based on over exaggerations and distorted facts. You're kinds, the so called "true hardcore fans of pop culture" only proves the real problem here is you. You distort, corrupt and spread half truths and lies. The movie is not disappointing or a disaster, you are the ones who overrate and overhate over the most pathetic and stupidest things EVER. I rather have this movie then any overrated crap that you call "cinema". Like Wild robot or Wicked. Its cause of you're pathetic overhating that pop culture sucks and pratically died. Your standards for what constitutes a perfect film or a good script are a pain, always overestimating or creating rules for what can be considered a good film or not. The movie trully is good, the first is overrated, and you are a bunch of liers.

      They didn't lied anything, it seems that you saw it with the greatest of unwillingness "just because it was supposed to be a series", that doesn't take away from the merits that this film has, and technical mode is more of a justification for setting standards and rules. It's no wonder that people, the people, hate critics. The film wasn't flawed in the slightest, it had striking songs, good antagonists, charismatic characters, they developed Moana and Maui very well, a great evolution in them and natural fluidity. The film is good not because of an ending but the entire journey is very well done. Getting upset because "it was supposed to be a series" is one of the most overrated, superficial, lazy and ridiculous criticisms I've seen EVER. The sequel does not always have this obligation to surpass the first film. Like Frozen. It doesn't matter how many sequences you have. People will always say that the first film is better because of nostalgia. Just because it was originally going to be a series doesn't harm my experience or that of the vast majority who are loving it. Critics and experts who are just boring. And I would even say in most cases hypocritical in several areas and aspects. There may be as many best sellers, studies, post-writing, whatever, that doesn't make this sequel disappointing, bad, or inferior to the first film, it just gives an even more distorted image that moviegoers are boring. Don't you understand? Defaming, devaluing, undervaluing or inferiorizing a film or sequence that is really good just because of "technical details" only divides and even harms everyone, with consequences like indirectly causing the death of cinema by taking away the fun, experience and killing the fun just because such a work did not meet these crude requirements to be considered by the ridiculous standards imposed by you of what is truly a good sequel, remake, live-action, series, anime, or film. Screw the structure or technical part, in the end most people don't care about that and just want to see something they like. I miss the time when concepts like cinephiles and nerdolas didn't even exist. Has pop culture always been divided like this? Yes, it always has been and maybe it always will be until God only knows when. But you guys aren't helping either. I'm really sorry, I have no intention of disrespecting you, or anyone else, or anyone who does this profession, but I disagree with all my strength about this unfair attitude that these critics have been adopting lately. With reviews and videos like that, why would people want to continue watching films or animations if for "experts" if it's not "technically perfect" then it can't even be considered a good film or one of the best?

    The fact that Moana 2 was originally meant to be a TV show is giving me flashbacks to those Disney direct-to-video "movies" that have three episodes in them. Belle's Magical World, Atlantis: Milo's Return, etc.

    They shouldn't have marketed Matangi as a villain because she's not. She's a chaos goddess stuck in a Megura-like deal with Nalo. Which, I'm personally interested to see where that goes in Moana 3, but yeah, Disney should've kept their mouths shut.

    Well, at least Tamatoa's back. There are other parts I like. "Beyond" and "Get Lost" are good songs, and Matangi is still a pretty fun character who just got screwed over by the marketing, but overall, this definitely should've stayed a Disney Plus series instead of being stitched together into a movie.

    What I really don't get is why they made Moana a demigoddess at the end, and then not have her show off any sort of powers. It's like Disney was deliberately trying to be vague because they thought people would call it a cop out. Even though she totally earned it.

    • @reinierdaada2170
      @reinierdaada2170 25 นาทีที่ผ่านมา +1

      Although i admit that they were a bit vague about it, they actually do show and hint at her demi-god powers during the reprise song of “Beyond” and the ending song “We Know The Way”. It’s very subtle but you can actually see her manipulate the water she touches with her oar to help Maui raise the island from the ocean. At the end you can see her guide the people/boat crew by putting her oar in the water, creating an illuminated “pathway” in the ocean. :)

  • @johanroyce6324
    @johanroyce6324 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

    I haven't watched the movie so I don't know if they did this, but here are my ideas for the side characters:
    Loto: As the craftswoman of the group, it would be cool if she used different gadgets she invents to help the gang, and over the course of the seiries have her upgrade the ship in order for them to survive more dangerous waters.
    Moni: Aside from being a fan of Maui, I would like him to play a role as someone who can decipher acient text that can help the gang reach the different islands as well as the mysteries surrounding their history using a combination of oral history and ancient carvings.
    Kele: As a farmer, it would be cool if he can identify which plants are safe to eat, how to perserve them, as well as as which plants can be used for medicinal purposes. So that also makes him the crews doctor.

  • @reinierdaada2170
    @reinierdaada2170 45 นาทีที่ผ่านมา +2

    26:15 **SPOILERS**
    You can actually see that when she touches the water with her oar that it changes the course of the water she has touched with this yellow/golden “glitter”, helping Maui to lift the island up through water manipulation (you can see a short scene of Maui noticing the weight of the mountain becoming lighter due to the ocean helping to raise the mountain higher.) You see Maui look back at it and smile, knowing that Moana was right all along when she said “We have to come together as a team” the first time she tries to convince him to help them break the curse when they were going through the Portal of Gods.
    At the end of the movie, during the final song you get to see the same glitter coming from her oar when she touches the water again, this time illuminating a “pathway” through the ocean. So i believe her demi-god powers may have something to do with “way finding” and “water manipulation”, given that her name translates to “Ocean” and her close bond with the Ocean.

    Biggest problem for me is that this movie didn't have stakes. There isn't a drive or reason for them to have to speedrun to the island and the big bad. There isn't a deadline they have to beat before bad things happen. The first movie had stakes because moana HAD to restore the heart to save her island from dying.
    If they fail here, nothing happens. They can just try again. They could potentially take years to break the curse. i think they needed something to make it more urgent (her vision of her empty island doesn't do it for me. I wish they'd expanded that to show WHY it would kill them after 1000 years of isolation without issue)

    Moana was hugely popular - popular enough for them to consider a series. But instead of making a long-running story and creating a franchise with a story that can run for months, Disney does the cheap thing, and goes for a quick buck at the theatre just because they can't stand not having a Christmas movie.

    This movie was so obviously 3 episodes of that disney plus series stitched together. I guess since Wish flopped so hard, they needed another money machine quick. Outside of the movie being mid at best, the production saw Disney pretty much take advantage of un-unionized animators in a outsourced studio. I really hope this movie flops so that Disney doesnt get comfortable with these pretty awful production practices
