While Season 1 wasn’t really my thing I’m so glad I gave season 2 a shot. It was so much fun and was really good! I hope season 3 does happen and soon!

Jack being an Ultraman is already expected and he already appeared in Season 1 as an Ultra, Season 2 for the most part is literally the introduction of Taro, so he doesn't just "came out of nowhere" hell even the 6th episode is called "Ultraman Number 6" which is a reference to the line in Ultraman Taro's opening, aside from that they can't have the 6 Ultra Brothers without Taro. Although one complaint about this season is how rushed it feels, but my guess is the animators tried to polish the animation as much as they can rather than just spewing out a lot of episodes with choppy animation

I watched all the original Showa Ultraman series. Idk why Taro's fanfare didn't happen until the very end of the series. As I've said, Taro and Jack just showed up out of nowhere. Jack didn't get any special entrance or anything. In the manga, there was a tease of the Leo brothers at where season 2 left off. They replaced that with Taro going "I am Ultraman!" This whole season seems really disorganized.
The new season is soooooo good!!!! I watched it all the day it released. I never want this show to end. So good. I love the references and call backs it makes to the original series from 1966. Very well done story.

Your not entirely wrong since the original Ultraman are enhanced humans form the artificial light in an another planet(basically becoming aliens), and when Ultraman came to earth, it fused with an human and that’s how the whole franchise started
Funny that you say that because Ultraman was the basis for Antman back in the 70s even their designs matched but when the Manga based on the TV show was dropped they used Iron Man as their design.
I'm so late to this. I finally finished the season last night. talk about epic please give season 3. I implore you all please. especially since we've got a cliffhanger. Bemlar as ominous as ever with his warning. but yeah this opening was out of this world stupendous. like sounds like classic catch animated show fashion. the band (?) was great. I truly loved it. warmes my heart. how I started watching this show? my mom actually told me about how she liked watching this hero named Ultraman in her youth. so we're talking about late 60s going into 70s. fast-forward to see we're seeing his son in this I was like oh wow unexpected this is the show/character my mom talked about. then seeing old dad Shin Hayata get involved as well and he's still got it I assume. haven't watched the older episodes but I think it's safe to say he still has it.
as a side best supporting character to me is Dan Moroboshi. tell me otherwise. I love that man, so serious, the glasses shine, firmly confident but cautious. precise swordsman.
