    Thank you for reminding us to embrace reality. I’ve always feared death, but my grandmother never did. She was a religious Buddhist and strongly believed in the afterlife. This explains why she approached the end of her life without fear. I love and miss her a lot.

      Hi I just want to share with you what God says when we die.
      2 Corinthians 5:8
      8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
      You have to believe that we all sinners need a Saviour, His name is Jesus Christ. He died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the death so we can be free from hell.
      Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
      We are all sinners , you need to repent and believe that God sent His Son to die for our sins so when God see you , He will see Jesus' righteouness not yours, because we are all sinners

      The Bible is very clear there are 2 places where we go when we die: heaven or hell. The Bible also says very clearly that you can know and choose to go to heaven or hell, before you take your last breath (1 John 5:13).
      First, the problem is that we all sin (Romans 3:23). Have done wrong, evil, immoral things (Ecclesiastes 7:20). Our sins separate us from God, if left unresolved, our sins will separate us from God forever (Matthew 25:46; Romans 6:23). Eternal separation This is hell, which is called the eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:14-15).
      The solution, 2000 years ago God was manifested in human form named Jesus (John 1:1, 14; 8:58; 10:30). He lived a sinless life (1 Peter 3:22; 1 John 3:5) sacrificing for us (1 Corinthians 15:3; 1 Peter 1:18-19). His death paid the penalty for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21). God gives us salvation and forgiveness as gifts (Romans 6:23) that we MUST receive by FAITH (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9).
      Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved (Acts 16:31). Repent by confessing with your mouth that:
      1. You are a sinner.
      Forgive me God.
      2. I believe Jesus is Lord and Savior, died & rose again to take away my sins.
      3. Ask the Lord Jesus to come into your life now and forever. You will be saved/justified/washed away from your sins, sanctified & have eternal life in heaven (Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 1:13-14).

      @@prashantlakhera6156 the bible says no one is righteous but God. No one can earn heaven with your good works. Because your good works is like filthy rags.
      It doesn't mean don't do good works.
      But first and most importantly you must believe that only by believing in Jesus that He died and rose again for you, to wash your sins clean, to forgive you, and believe that He is the door to Heaven. And then you will produce good works when you are filled with the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit.
      But again remember your good works are not the reason you go to Heaven.

    • @praisetheLord2377
      @praisetheLord2377 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Buddha Jesus is not a license to sin. When you know God , you don't want to sin anymore. You are changed. Only the Holy Spirit can change you. Not by religion. But by relationship with God. You will receive God's wisdom, not wisdom from the world, and the fear of the Lord. You will refuse anything that is not from God.

      @@praisetheLord2377 Christians always talk about the people God wants to go to heaven not about the ones God wants to go to hell. Why would an all powerful all loving God build something whereby the majority of beings would suffer the most horrible suffering. Don't tell me it's man's fault, that is a cop out. God knew what man would do and that it would cause mostly suffering and wanted it anyway. If man is created by God and man caused suffering then Gods creation is flawed either way. Your whole system is illogical and ridiculous.

    Many, many years ago I had an 'enlightening' experience when it comes to life and death. It was this. I had been reading one of the sutras - I can't remember which one now - but suddenly my mind drifted away somewhere. The message was, 'Ian, why is it that people seem so peaceful and smiling when on their deathbeds?' And, 'Why is it that a newborn baby is screaming like Hell when back in a human body?' Then the word rebirth appeared like a flash. Yes, the Buddha was correct, life/death, it's called rebirth!

    The major issues I have that stop me from following Buddhism is the same with other philosophies (I do not use the word “religion” here). That is, how CERTAIN they are about things. Even in the Suttas from my reading when it comes to the idea of how to live life, sounds all grand but then it basically takes a hard right turn saying that death isn’t the end. Instantly I’m thinking, “okay so where’s your proof?” And once again like other philosophies it kinda veers off into these vague explanations that just really hope you assume and believe their axioms.... literally all the evidence in the world points to once you are dead that’s it.

    • @oldgregg6210
      @oldgregg6210 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      My man, what's the definition of faith? I get it. I'm an atheist. But when you waste your time looking for proof for things that are purely based in belief, you're taking your focus away from the bigger picture. Hell, you don't even need to believe in an afterlife to be religious. There are plenty of christians who don't even believe any of the shit that happens in the bible. Like I said man, I'm an atheist. I don't necessarily buy into a lot of believe in religions either. But when you sit and wait for proof, you're completely disregarding how they view faith. It's not gonna be something that's based in hard evidence. It's a conclusion that they came to through their own life and life experiences. When I was younger I used to think the same way, but in the end, I blinded myself to the things that make different faiths interesting and fun to learn about, even if you don't buy into their beliefs. Should be said too, there's no evidence that "Once you are dead that's it" simply because there's absolutely no way to tell. Can't exactly ask a dead dude "Hey, how's the whole being dead thing working out?" There's no way to tell either way if there's shit that happens or if that's it. I completely understand where you're coming from though. I think in some circles, that confidence is also an environment thing. Kinda like how if you were raised by christian or catholic parents, they're gonna take you to church and try to make you be a christian at a young age. Same's probably true for other faiths as well.

We think that process is ours because we are not looking clearly...buddha clearly said self is an illusion and there is no being inside..so living and dying are irrelevant questions .

      Not all the evidence point to if your dead your dead .
      First a. Try to to seperate your self from the universe you can't. Therofor you could say you and the universe goes together then you realise you are really one thing. Thing about buddhism its meant to start dialog you have the ahah moment . any way a seperate self is an illusion bc you are the universe. Proof is that after you die someone is born. Bc this person who you think your are this ego this individual doesnt really exist as a seperate self your the whole shebang your it. Your the one doing everything. Its like this your one leaf on tree you feel like an individual leaf right but your really not, your actually the whole tree but if you felt like the whole tree all the time it would get confusing youd be taking in to much info to process at once so reality give this illusionary sense of individual identity even tho your a whole ass tree really. Reason why you can't explain spirtual enlightenment in words is bc spiritual enlightenment isnt word words are symbols

      @@mariarudina1224 That's a great question! In reality, there should be only one universal right or wrong. In Buddhism, they discuss about the "Ultimate Truth". You can interpret sins in anyway you want, but at the end of the day, they are still sins; the truth will always remain. For example, one soldier might think killing enemies is a right thing to do, killing is a sin.
