I look forward to a time where the circus is over, where politics is again so boring that one can skip a couple of days without being horrified.
That's what sucked about Trump's presidency. Granted, he had a global pandemic to deal with. Regardless, every event he was at was a circus with his arrogance at center stage.

You ALWAYS need to vote - in EVERY election. I read one statistic that since 2020 12 million Americans have died, the majority of which were elderly who are also more likely to vote republican, while at the same time 16 million people have came of age and are now eligible to vote. If the youth turns out Harris can win! She also needs to maintain her coalition with African Americans and women, but also build on her Latino support to chip away at Trump from another angle in key swing states since white males wont swing Harris.

Hello, no other candidates have actually entered the race. So who else are the Democrats going to pick? Since it's so late in the primaries at this point, it would be a long shot for somebody to step in the race right now and compete with Harris for the nomination. The only way that voters would have been able to vote for a candidate would be if Biden withdrew from the race earlier in the year.

All the sudden praise upon Kamala in the media makes the whole situation very suspicious.
At the very least you can look at her rather impressive resume and see that she's eminently qualified for the position. Compared to when Trump ran the first time, you could even say she's grossly overqualified. She's been a deputy district attorney, a district attorney, a state attorney general, a senator, and then she finally landed as vice president. And to stave off any whataboutisms regarding how she got her position as a deputy district attorney: you can review the cases she has tried and see that she has done good work throughout her career in an attempt to live up to the trust of the people and the duty of the position.
To be the most realistic about why the left and central media are a buzz with positive news for her: the democratic party views her as their absolute best option going forward to prevent Donald Trump and his cronies from getting back into the oval office and attempting to upend democracy, so they're calling in favors to be as nice and/or objective as they can be regarding the reporting on VP Harris within the limits of the law. While democrats want to paint her in a favorable light, they are also very aware of the fact that they can't have false reporting on her to eliminate risk of accusations of election fraud, given that it is already unfavorable to take over an existing ballot from Biden.
