When you are in Blackrock Foundry, double tame the wolf that is in the same spot. Then go find the matching wolf mount. Plus tame one the wolf cubs that have the same colouration. It looks amazing to be on the wolf mount, have the two matching hunter pets and the matching battle pet out. I even worked my ass of to build an amazing t-mog that fits the whole colour scheme, vibe and athetics for my BM Belf hunter.
2 great-looking rare-appearance pets I recommend for people starting a collection are Rukhran inside the Skyreach dungeon and Steeltusk in Talador 37:35 Rare. Any spec can tame both of these and they are both from WOD.
One that I personally love on my troll hunter is the Shadow of Damabala, a ghostly purple snake, from Shadowlands. During the Night Fae (you do indeed to join that covenant and get to renown 8) quest line you'll eventually get a quest called "Cleansing The Forest", do the quest as normal up until you reach the point where you face off against Dambala, *do not kill him though* when he summons the mobs jump out of the shapeshift, feign death (if needed) and quickly tame it as it'll despawn 5ish seconds after you feign death.
Man getting that Dino tone took no time at all on every character I've ever gotten it on. On one of them I even actually killed five people with my multifire and all five of the mobs drop the book
The weekly recaps are in an odd spot now as I may have accidently gained over 100 mounts since the last one and now im scared of how much editing that would take
I love that you featured the Felrot Courser! I always run one as my second pet come spooky season :) Also, why doesn’t Blizz just add the special pets you can tame to your spell book? It’s so dumb.
You should do a best pet combo video XD I always struggle knowing what cool pet to put with what cool pet! Bonus points if you include a matching transmog XD
Note on Faultline : I just tamed him, but i could also tame the elephant (Ironcrusher) and the 2headed chimeara (Dreadwing). The 3rd one, the wolf was untamable wich is odd coz it's also a beast... For Dreadwing, you have to start taming as soon as possible or he begins spewing the fire and then it's undoable coz u get interrupted all the time...

i tried to install your ui but nothing is working, i did notice that the guide was 2 years ago so are the versions of the addons you put in the file out of date?
BEFORE GOING FOR FAULTLINE, dont get hit by the spear, it perma stuns you until he picks it back up to stun you again. and he summons a hell of a lot of pets in the meantime, Good news tho is being a naked lvl 80 isnt enough to one shot the boss!!!!! (i picked 25 M)
Just to make sure your active pet slots arent all full either? At lvl 60 you should have unlocked exotic beast taming, nothing else comes to mind that would be preventing you, id probably have to see ingame screenshots
Why not grab Oondasta after getting the tome while on the isle of giants? Get a friend on a low pop server to pull you into their realm for an easy tame.
I just tested it, still works fine he was tamable and in the cave behind the second encounter. Make sure you do it solo and on mythic dungeon difficulty

One tip, you don’t have to enter the real raid for horridon you can just go through LFR. Saves a bit of time if you haven’t opened idle of thunder yet

that undead raptor is really cool, and with the recent sylvanas cosmetic set being released, it fits her theme really well.

Does the toy Soft Foam Sword not work on these? Seems like the easiest option for bringing weak enemies low.

is there any criteria to taming beasts? i have a level 60 hunter and cant seem to tame certain mobs, even iron hoof or even other lower level things
Some pets like Faultline require beast mastery spec to tame/use

Not every mob in maldraxus will drop the tome. Must be Elite mobs. I got it from the dungeon.
