  • Arriving in Ella we already captivated by its charm, so many natural beauty surrounding the village. The first we decided to go to was the Ravana Waterfalls. It’s located beside the main road with a view of crowds of tourists taking pictures with the falls in the background.
We only made a quick stop there and headed to our homestay right away. We stayed at Duet Hearts which only less than 1 km away from the town. The homestay is sooo homey and they have a large nice clean room with reasonable price. Unpacked and showered, we went to Cafe Chill for late lunch and got ice cream from Isle of Gelato. We didnt explore much in the 1st day and spent the rest of the day culinary and rest.
2nd day in Ella, we rented a TukTuk to go to Diyaluma Falls and Nine Arch Bridge. We left our home at 10 am (which already late) and arrived at Diyaluma around 11:30 am, and spent about 3 hours there. It was so hot and it felt like the sun is on top of our head, but the view you get is worth the pain. We suggest to start your hike in the early morning to avoid the heat and the crowd.
After Diyaluma we made our way to Nine Arch Bridge. Famous place means crowds. We have no energy left after Diyaluma, so we were not planning to stay longer. We were there for only +- 15 minutes and to our surprises the train is coming so we had the chance to record the famous scenic train.
Back home at 5pm, we spent the rest of the day resting and went out for dinner. There are many cafes, mini market, souvenir place to visit. I feel like Ella Town vibes is quite similar to Canggu, Bali.
Anyways, thats our 2nd day in Ella! Watch our 3rd day in Ella visiting Horton Plains National Park here :
    • Horton Plains National...
