    Hi frank, I gotta hand it to you, i am thinking this one is a lot harder than spacerail level 9, building this takes serious dedication and because of this, i gotta give you a Massive GG on building this. those loops are the real tricky parts of the spacerail series, mostly on level 5 and up

    Hi. As I understand from the comments, your name is Frank. You can give me some assembly advice. I recently visited a friend and put together a 4g track in a few hours, but it didn't seem enough to me and I ordered an 8g track for myself (which is on your video). I like such constructors. Probably because of this, I entered the Faculty of Architecture at MGSU.

    Hey Frank, I just started this same kit and am having problems getting the track to be correct for the first set of double vertical loops, were you able to find better instructions somewhere than what came with this set or were you able to figure it out just with trail and error?

    Hi franki your build looks amazing. My partner and are in the process of trying to building this model, its hard. We are having trouble with size of loops and hoops. I was wondering if you could help us?
    Thanks

      Thank you for your question!
      First of all, if you are building Spacerail for the very first time, you may start from the easier sets, like level 1-5. So that you can easily gain experience on those. It's like a learning process: Every time it goes up one level, that means it's having new features that are improved from the previous level, thus you can learn easily if doing that way. (just a recommendation)
      To build harder sets like this one, note that you should always build the hardest rail first, otherwise you have to assemble across between the other rails you have already built, making it even harder. So I personally recommend you to build the one that's on 2:05 first.
      To build that, you should note that it is built from the opposite direction: Inner circles, and then outer circles. To build inner circles, you'll just need to bend the rail a little bit harder in order to fit in the holder; to make sure every circle's size is the same, you can look from a direction where all the circles correspond together. The goal is to keep the line as thin as possible when corresponding all together (you should know the principle).
      If you still can't figure it out, just remember to make those hoops and loops as SMALL as possible, while they're all fit in the holders, and the marbles are able to run across.
      2 important notes: To cut the rails that are longer than 1m, I personally recommend cutting 5% more from their own lengths, just so that you don't need to worry about not-long-enough when assembling to the end (every Spacerail set comes with extra bits of rails, so you don't need to worry about that); This one is more important: When building rails that have lots of TURNs, like hoops, I always recommend building outer circles FIRST, cuz it physically needs longer rails to fit in the holders. If you meet rails that will turn in both directions, like the one on 1:35, you can calculate the number of turns on the instruction before building it. Is it more turning to the left? Or right? (once you figured it out, it shall be easy)
      I hope this information helps you to complete your set! And kindly ask if you are going to make a video of it once you finish?
      Btw, in my curiosity, you are building the exact same model as mine? If so, I wonder where did you buy it, from Amazon.com? (it's okay if you don't answer)
      If you have more questions, feel free to ask!
      Sincerely

    I was like, this is some BS. How did he get the marbles to fly out in space like that? Oh wait, that's just the door knobs on the closet doors.

    Hi Frank. I have been looking at a lot of videos on youtube, of these Spacerail sets and I find them quite facinating to watch. I live in the UK and it seems that you can only get the 231 series sets from level 1 up to level 6. I have looked on the official website in China and all the larger level sets 7, 8, and 9 are out of stock.
    I have ordered a level 4g set here in the UK. However, the higher level sets are available in Germany, so I have ordered a level 231-9 which is cheaper than a 231-6 set, here in the uk.
    I was wondering if you can use coloured glass marbles, as well as the steel balls that come with the sets, as I have quite a lot of various colours and sizes. What size are the balls that come with the sets, in millimeters? Most of the marbles I have are 14mm and 16mm diameter. I hope to build the set 4 first and then do the set 9 later on. You have made a good job with your level 8g set and it all runs very smoothly. Well done! Hope you can let me know on the ball size.
    Regards
    Geoff

      Thank you for your feedback! First of all, due to the limitation of the production of some Spacerail sets, especially 233-6g to 8g, you can ONLY get those if you are in China mainland. I live in Canada and I got this set (include smaller sets from my other video) from my dad, who often flies between China and Canada. For all of the Spacerail sets sold in China mainland, they are incredibly cheap. I got the 8g for only 260 yuan (you can convert this). So if you prefer, by any chance, may go to China to get those Spacerail sets. By the way, the shopping site I bought Spacerail from is called Taobao. Unfortunately, it is only available within China mainland.
      For the marbles I use, they are all the same. Part of them come with the set and are all 12mm diameter steel balls. I also bought 100 extras with it from China (hopefully you saw), just in order to have more fun.
      I'm looking forward to your finished set 4 and 9 Spacerail and hopefully, they are even better! Just so you know, Spacerail level 9 is extremely hard (even harder than 8g), so take your time!
      Thanks again for your feedback!

      Hello, cool video just bought one of these on Amazon. Not $40 dollars, but way cheaper then getting it any other way. FYI they have also the 233-7g available. Kind regards ✨

      @@atarimatt1785 You got the same model as mine? From Amazon.com? Good for you if so then, and kindly ask if you are planning to make a video of it when you finish. Btw you said it's cheaper by getting it other ways, are you talking about those on Amazon? Or other websites? Let me know! ;)

      @@frankhuang9770 Yes sir, the 233-8g is $90 on Amazon, and the 233-7g is $72 respectively. O on the price I was saying it's not as cheap as you can get it, but it also came in a few days. Definitely cheaper directly from China as you had previously stated. I think Aliexpress has it too, but it was more expensive for me, and up to an 8 week wait time. Kind regards 😃

    I am back!!! How does that work? Did you build that??

    • @frankhuang9770
      @frankhuang9770  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes!! It took me a month to build! It's basically the metal balls running on a track made of two plastic lines in a variety of ways. The hardest part is the one in 2:05, it has to be built really smooth and precise. I bought it in China for just ¥250 (that's $50 Canadian dollars / $35.75 US dollars)! If you are interested in it then check out their official website: spacerails.com/
      Note: It's somehow you can only get Spacerail 233-6, 233-7 and 233-8 in China. So I believe that this video is the first one showing this model.

      Hi Franck! Nice build! I can’t see any description explaining what is the main difference between 231 and 233 lines... 232 is obvious with the different lift mechanism but...

    • @frankhuang9770
      @frankhuang9770  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheDjFac Thank you for your question! Basically, 231 lines are known as the "First-generation" spacerail, meaning they are the oldest. That's being said, 233 lines are known as the "Third-generation" spacerail. The main difference between them is that fist of all, most 233 models look much simpler and have shorter packs of lines compared to the corresponding 231 levels, such compares usually happens in levels 1-6. For the higher levels, you can see that 233-8g has much more straight lines instead of doing some variety of stuff such as "Flying" in 231-8 model. The main reason is that people wanted to make sure to avoid some parts that are too easy to fail, so they simplified the later models as much as possible. You also obviously see that most spacerail models (include some 231s) have the rails that glow in the dark since the production of 233 models. If you have more questions, Feel free to ask!

      @@hoeat1232 Indeed, 233-8g is still kinda a new model for Spacerail that hadn't sold all around the world yet. And it seems like there's quite none of the instructions as PDF published on the website yet... Btw you live in Germany? If so, have you checked for this model on Amazon.de (Germany Amazon hopefully)? Cuz I think there's one available.
