Stress is not measured in Pascal only pressure is because pressure is applied perpendicularly and stress is applied from any direction
This is what is known as "QUALITY CONTENT"
Yes right
ur completey correct man
Yea
Indeed
Agreed
This 4 min video is far better than those 1 hour lecture

All concepts are cleared now thank you 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this. This helps me a lot!
I am giving my 10th board exams. And I opt for PCM in class 11th and 12th. So, I am trying to cover some of the topics of class 11 and the best way to do this is by watching your videos.
In class 9th I had studied that Pressure = Force/Area and now I came to know that Stress = Force/Area and also they both have the same SI unit, N/m square that is Pascal, named in the honour of the great scientist James Pascal. So, that means that Pressure and Stress both are the same thing given different names. Thanks Don't Memorise for such a nice explanation.
Stress is applicable only to solids whereas pressure can be used anywhere. Stress can be positive or negative, pressure can only be positive. Stress is generally used in cases where a force is *exerted* whereas pressure is *amount* of force per unit area. Hope this clears your doubt. Keep on learning📖📖👨🎓
Stress is due to deforming force ,whereas pressure is normal force
@@jakeperalta8421 Nice explanation 👍

What is the difference between Deforming Force and Stress?
Plz explain
Deforming force is the external force
While stress is the internal force produced in the body due to deforming force
