In this episode Gary makes an amazing find. He pulls out a perfectly clean t square out of the mud. After waiting several weeks the lab says this wooden square is very, very old and was used for masonry work. It was used on the money pit.
@@ktbowersbellsouth ...as someone who's been watching EVERY episode from the beginning, I can assure you that most of what they find is HEAVILY ENCRUSTED in, clay, rust, corrosion, or whatever- this item is ( more or less ) clean because of its smooth surface &, I suspect, from Billy moving the soil around so that the wet mud slid off!
Keep digging..... I'm sure there's more wood to be found! With the price of lumber these days maybe all this wood they've been finding is the actual treasure!
Miss the show. I’ve been waiting for you to explore the swamp where the image of a ship was. After years of watching , you left us hanging. Hope you will be able to finish, I can only imagine how much the cost must have been.
As an old mason that would be in my tool bag. I would say an old stone mason lent it to the carpenter to make those fitted tunnel supports you pulled out. Masons and carpenters always work together.
The alter stone was the one that was blown up decades ago because searchers thought there was something under it. This island is like a 200 year old Rubik's Cube. Each searching endeavor just makes it harder for the next team to solve.
I believe it was an English military base repairing ships and storing goods as a trading post for ships supplies and for repairing ships in the man made harbour.
I also believe they mined coal there and used to stone paths and ox’s to pull carts and load up ships! Also used some of the coal for fires to repair ships and make tools in the area! Any treasure is long gone!
@@gumjuicee6746 I cannot imagine how difficult it would have been to walk, never mind roll anything over that terribly uneven stone path. Look at Roman stone roads, nearly perfectly flat.
Lagina: "We may have found the treasure!" Producers: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Hey Rick and Marty, what you guys need is a Hydrovac to hep Billy out at the swamp from the back flow of the water and slush while he's using the excavator to dig. We call it a Super Sucker down here in South Texas, it's use in the oilfields As we metal detectors say, Happy Hunting and good luck.
In this episode Gary finds another decking spike after he steps on it and it goes right through his boot and foot. Rick has the crew drill twenty more holes in an attempt to locate that mysterious flood tunnel while Billie digs the swamp out to a depth of three hundred and ten feet before filling it in again.

I was stunned when the square was discovered and, maybe I missed it but, could it be the square that was used with the lead cross ‘protractor’ that Gary found and Erin used for mapping?

They are now finding all kinds of Very Weird Artifacts, not sure what direction any of it will lead to, Do hope they find King Solomon's Mines, The Ark Of the Covenant, an ancient UFO, The Knights Templar, An ancient Sailing Ship, or Something, this show has gone on long enough finding nothing.
They should leave that place and never come back. Whatever buried there was put there for a reason and I feel humanity will be better off without it uncovered.
'Could it be that anything of any value was taken away hundreds of years ago'. I'm not worried about an alien invasion anymore cause I know all we have to do is let them stumble into this show and the whole thing will grind to a halt.
What is funny is that it never dawns on any of them that any object that is found on the island might be an object that came into possession of someone fairly recently who in turn lost it on Oak Island. In other words if I have a Chinese yuan in my possession and it fell out of my pocket on Oak Island, they would all be announcing that the Chinese were on Oak Island. This episode a piece of iron was said to be Scottish made. It could have been that someone learned the Scottish method of making that piece of iron and forged it there. Or that someone came into possession of that object through other means and brought it there from anywhere but Scotland. Venetian coins were spread all over the world at one time. But that doesn't mean Venetians were necessarily all over the world. I have an antique Russian sword from the 1800's in my house but no Russians were ever in my house in the 1800's.
The tool tested between 1632-1668. The tool wasn't made in those years, the wood was. The tree harvesting and naval stores operation on the island 1720-22 was there in part because it was possible to harvest mature trees for masts from virgin forests. Those didn't exist anymore in the British Isles. The Admiralty knew the trees from the Baltics and Russia were not a secure source. The shipping costs from the Americas' was more, but no-one was going to really stop you from chewing through the forests. White pine trees live 200 years with some being known to be 450 years old. So if you make your tools out of the heartwood of a tree in 1720 from the part of it which formed between 90 - 50 years before, it could test between 1632-1668. The stone pathway was laid, so oxen could drag harvested trees to the woodyard and ships. Otherwise the area would be a mudhole.
Stone road.discovered on Oak Island. Could it really be a road of stones? What is it doing here? What could it haves been used for? Who built it? Who used the road? Everybody must get stones! .
If the producers didn’t plant horse shoes and shirt buttons before the cameras turned on there wouldn’t be any show 😂 they drag out a whole episode to find a button and come out with “this button must of been worn by a soldier guarding the money pit” 🤯😂
Isn't it a shame to look on these guys faces and see contractors squeeze more and more money out of these two beaten men with a true sickness of a dream that will never be.
Shiver my timbers mates it's wooden square! Hey everyone look at this. I'll have this sent to the lab to find out what it is and how old it is and how did it get here. I just know it's an important find. Everyone get back to work!

Apparently there coming back later this year. No tony or phil though
It looks like a string anchor block, for block laying! Only a bit larger..
And Marty always hated the swamp...
Seems like they gave up on finding the money pit. now finding bits of junk left laying around over the past 100 years.
