Sorry for the long wait! Both of us moved house as these were being recorded. And apologies for the muffled audio at points - there were a bunch of technical moving-related issues, but we made it through.
Your points about how reading Oldeus' diary puts you in the same headspace as Rudeus is actually so true. I remember the amount of anxiety and dread I felt reading through it, even knowing that not only is this just fiction, its a story within a story, and none of the characters that you have grown to love are actually going through these terrible experiences. And despite all that, its still so heavy and almost exhausting to read. Really looking forward to the next episode, volume 17 has my personal favourite scene in the entire series.
A really cool bit in TP4 is the "slyphy, roxy you're as cute as ever" Line, where oldeus looks at the door in his final moment. But thing is slyphy and roxy weren't there...yet, so oldeus used future sight to look at his wives for the last time. Neat detail.
I think Oldeus was halucinating, seeing his wives just before he died. Eye of forsight is not that powerful. More than ust a few seconds and it got impossibly blurry. And Sylphy and Roxy never go inside the room and see Oldeus's body. So even if the eye is strong enough, Oldeus couldnt see them.
@@nguyendi92 iirc he looked like 4-5 seconds into the future, it's not far fetched to assume the guy that can manipulate gravity and time travel can also use the last traces of his mana to look at his wives for the last time. I think it makes his death more poetic.
One part you missed to mention that I liked was how Rudeus, Sylphie and Roxy had a talk about having Eris join the family and them writing her the letter together. There was a short moment where Rudeus considered not telling them.
@@darklurker999 He does a ton of analyzing, speculating and criticizing. While reading the story as well. He's made a point of not wanting people to use his videos as a replacement for buying the novels.
@@darklurker999 Alot of people actually complain how much he does analysis and theorizing I like it because he reads the story condensing it a bit too voices characters while giving his own thoughts on scenarios
You guys really needed to take better notes because your spotty memorys are really hampering the discussion. Like how hard is to remember "Berserk Sword King", that's a pretty distinct title isn't it?
Crazy you didn't talk about Eris getting a good hit in on Orsted and cutting his hand off with the reverse sword of light. Well I guess you off handedly kind of mentioned it but not really. Kind of a cool part
Seems like Bacon forgot what the world history that Rudeus was reading in I think volume 2 told about what happened to the other worlds. But hey that info might not be accurate. Who knows

After how long it was taking I was worried Bacon gave in and read the entire series since the last video. Good to see these videos are still coming :D
@@NotMrGems I would never dream of reading more than what NotMrGems suggests!
I really want the anime to nail Season 3, it has the potential to easily become the best Mushoku Tensei season if done right !

Or it was just hallucination which to me is more accurate since he is supposed to be pretty much out of mana

Awww...Ari sounds so happy that finally he has somebody to talk about MT novel...😂

Poor Kyle, now he'll have to deal with 2 believers. Have a good read! Volume 13 [REDACTED]
Otaku spirit reads the LN has voices for characters and does analysis and theorizing on many segments while going through chapters
2:45:00 Otaku Spirit does indepth analysis/impressions by chapter/volume.
I watched his few videos but he mostly seems to just do recaps with some analysis in between.

Let's go, three more hours of Light novel discussion.

That was sick. Its just too much to talk about so I may miss some things / I'm reading too quick to make good notes aha.
@@JarkeyBacon Understandable. Enjoy!
Wait wait wait, bacon is gonna continue to read and finish MT? Dayum didn't expect this
I thought you guys would've stopped at where the anime did.
Too good to stop, therefore no drop!
@@JarkeyBacon One of us. One of us. One of us.
There is a reason why MT fans are so defensive when hater attack the early season of the anime.😂
2:32:36 Isn't that in the next volume? bacon Bacon Bacon....reading ahead....? 😆
2:44:55 for me is the anticlimatic one

You should listen to the official audiobook instead of the ai, it's much better.
