Mandisa, it is a sad morning to know that you are no longer with us on this earth, but it is a good morning for you. Your eyes opened to see the Lord and Savior who died for your sins of whom you sang praises, face to face. Thank you for sharing your gift of music with us.
I've listened to this song a ridiculous amount of times over the years.. Today I am listening to it because of my heart being broken 💔 over Mandisa's passing 😢....
I wake up so often and play “Good Morning” and dance with my birds. God’s gift of life every day is such a blessing. I am so broken hearted. Rest in paradise with God and his angels.
When I was a principal before I retired, we played this song at our Peace Rally every Friday morning and the students and staff would sing and dance to it. She made such a difference. Rest in peace beautiful soul.
DanaJames, what wonderful, happy memories all of U have ❤ Mandisa was a remarkably talented woman & she left us with so many songs to cherish & listen to 😊 I love this song too ❤ another awesome pick me up feel good song is by : Fred Again "I Adore You" ... U will love it 🙏🤲😇 take care
@@keithkysel7853yes you should! I first heard this song in high school. They played it every morning in my homeroom class and at the time, I had no idea this was a Christian gospel artist and song! As I grew older and mature in my faith, I rediscovered Mandisa and had a beautiful epiphany! Your students will be blessed to hear this
I was on my way to the store to day but then I saw a group of people gathering around something. So I pulled over and got out. Turns out it was a group of Christians gathering to pray for a homeless man. When I asked if I could pray with them they gladly accepted my company. And on my way back from the store I bought a Carles Junior burger and drink(Raspberry ice tea) for the man when I went back the man was still there so I gave him the food. His face lit up like a candle when I gave him the food. It feels great to help people. God bless everyone out there that needs help!!
RIP Mandisa. I listened to this song every morning while driving to work in Wichita KS. You brought a smile to my face every morning. Enjoy your well deserved home in Heaven. Thanks for sharing your music with the world.
8 years later I can still remember everything going to school in the morning in 5th grade my dad would play this and now I’m graduated I miss those times
Norha I can totally relate! In my senior year of high school I would finish hearing this song before I had to go to the bus stop to catch the bus to school. The lyrics are so powerful!!
When I was in prison, I'd wake up to this song every morning for 13 months straight, it helped me get back to my family and those I care about, praise God..

Rip mandisa.. whenever i went to elementary they would always play this song so nostalgic. This lady made my days at elementary a fun and joyful place 🙏
Big facts. Her music would play on our local Christian station when I was in elementary school. Nostalgic. “Overcomer” hits me the hardest. 10 years sure does fly, huh… RIP
Same, it was only yesterday when I remembered this song and turned it on, it brought back so many memories of heading to school and singing with my mom. 😊
I am so saddened to hear of the passing of this lovely woman. When I moved to a new place last year, I was enveloped by fear and uncertainty. I heard Mandisa's song on Instagram near the beginning of the move - I cannot begin to tell you how happy, optimistic and serene it made me feel. For the longest time after, I would listen to this song first thing in the morning as I was making my cup of coffee. It brought joy to me. It felt like a good friend asking me to tackle the day with happiness and faith. Rest in peace, Queen. Thank you for the kindness of your message.
Just found out that Mandisa has passed away. Thinking about how much her songs have helped me stay joyful through the years. This world has lost an icon, innovator, and more, but her legacy will always thrive. I love you so much and thank you for all the years that you have changed my life. Rest in peace.
Let’s remember to give at least one uplifting compliment a day. You never know what that person is experiencing. God bless and may he shine his light upon you.
I am so blessed to be able to see so many of us in these comments choosing to wake up everyday with this uplifting song to get ourselves and our families ready for the day. It feels like a part of my childhood died after hearing about Mandisa. But I am so glad to be connected through God to all of you in this moment.
Oh my goodness! I had the opportunity to hear her sung love at a ladies conference in Charlotte, N.C. a few years ago. She had the most beautiful powerful voice with a message of the love of Christ in her songs. I will miss her as well as many others. What a tragedy! However she is with her Savior now.
I played this song every weekday morning to wake up my grandkids so we could start our day with devotion and a workout before getting ready for school. R.I.P. Mandisa and thank you for your music and your beautiful smile.
