Very helpful - will be going this August - can't wait!
Hope you enjoy it! Are there any other bucket list activities on your Scotland itinerary?
So glad we could help! Thanks for watching and subscribing. 🙏
Think this has been replaced by a diesel train. Health and safety Police at it again. Just check. That's what I heard.
It's August! Did you end up taking the Jacobite?!
@@JustinandJessYes we got the diesel but it was still a great trip and appreciated your video very much
25 past 4 (Queensland Australia) very beautifully done and well explained.
You did everything very nicely and with in trust.
When is the next tour
Thanks for the kind words! Glad you found the video helpful. We're also touring somewhere exciting. Where do you think we should head to next?
Thank you😍😊🌸🙋🏻♀️
You’re welcome 😊
Great video. The train goes through the Scotland countryside
Thank you for watching! Sounds like you've taken a ride on the Jacobite? The views are pretty incredible!

Just a bit of fyi for everyone. The Jacobite Express has been withdrawn due to safety standards not being met. It may not come back so for those expecting to treat themselves, good luck.
Thanks for the info! Looks like that just happened a few days ago from what I can tell. If anyone else reading this gets an update, be sure to comment here and let us know!
UPDATE: Looks like service on the Jacobite Express has been resumed as of April 15th, 2024 (woohoo)! For others reading, please note that the train is running at reduced capacity with a reduced schedule and modified configurations (compared to what was covered in our video tour). Please refer to their website for up-to-date details.
Thanks for watching!
Absolute gits. They have no idea how much this affects tourism.
Well looks like West Coast seen sense and have moved some Mk2 coaches upto fort William and will be resuming Jacobite with limited seating, Videos posted on TH-cam of movement show later models of mk2 with sealed windows so no opening window to hear the engine better, or mount cameras gps etc out of. Short train as well so won’t be as many seats available as normal.
@@michaelmcnally2331 Yeah. Seen that. When I was on this trip. Was not aware of any threat to life, or safety concerns. What a load of shit. Common sense is out the window on this. What I do remember is the loads of tourists in Fort William, Glenfinnan viaduct, Glenfinnan station and Mallaig. Giving these places a financial shot in the arm.
@@YARROWS9 Every single other TOC that running MK1 on the network has managed to comply with the regulations which are from RSR 1999. West Coast have also had no issue with fitting Central Door Locking to Mk2's and they have run the Jacobite since 1995 so next year will be 30 years.
Where other TOCs don't have them fitted they have an agreed in place plan to fit them which agreed with ORR.
Literally ALL West Coast had to do was submit a plan to fit CDL and when would fitted by.
Instead they decided to submit an application for an exemption WITHOUT a plan to fit CDL and are surprised that the application rejected.
LSL /Saphos / Steam Dreams continue to run trains with MK1s as they have fitted CDL.
Vintage Trains continue to run MK1s as they are in process of fitting CDL
VSOE continue to run Pullmans as they are in process of fitting CDL
WCRC have so far failed / refused to fit CDL, despite making nearly £2.5million a year in profits and everyone else has managed to find the money.
They were even banned from running mainline services back in 2016 due to safety issues .
LSL ran some trains from Fort WIlliam to Mallaig last month so if West Coast Railways reckon they cannot do it then LSL can step in. In response West Coast Railways decided to run some empty stock and have moved some Mk2 with CDL fitted upto Fort William.
WCRC trying the emotional blackmail of arguing the local economy benefits however even the local business are saying West Coast Railways need to either fit CDL or make way for someone else.
It's a Harry Potter dream come true 🥹🥹🥹
It was SOOO cute seeing all the little witches and wizards dressed up for the train ride! 🥹 I can't imagine how excited I would have been to ride this when I was a kid!
