    Does this need 2? One for transmit and the other to receive? Or can you set one for transmit and any unifi AC WAP ( that operates on a 5GHz frequency) can act as a receiver?

    Hello. I'm confuse about getting new antenna. I like very much this model of UBNT. What are your thoughts about it? If you don't have a wireless AC connection how does this works?? Thanks and waiting your response.

    • @Intellibeam
      @Intellibeam  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Elio Aliu You need to have another AC device to pair with this for it to work.

      If the station doesnt have wireless Ac , that mean that the Device dont work? Right??

    Hello! We are rural and would benefit from this! Who/how do we get the internet provided once installed? Are there general providers?

      You'd have to check for WISP's in your area.

    Maybe you should try not eating buttered popcorn before trying to assemble the nano, perhaps you would look like a cub bear with mittens on...

    +Intellibeam please read the scenario and guide.
    i want to make a network like, point from server (urban area) to point at 24.2 kms (ruralarea). Elevation at roof tops of both points is almost same and i can install poles up to 40 feet above roof top. In between two points (at the height of pole) there is no building, only a power transmission line of 320 KVA passes through (i think that might create noise for wireless signals).
    Now please guide me which equipment should i use? is this power beam good for me? or any other?
    Thanks in advance :-)

    Hi there..
    I was wondering if it is worth investing a few extra $ to get 5ac-620? I need to make a link at 20km of distance.. Thanks in adavnce for your advise

    • @Intellibeam
      @Intellibeam  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +voobaa If the situation calls for it, then yes.

    • @voobaa
      @voobaa 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Intellibeam Thanks for your answer.. I was told 5ac-620 wouldn"t work better than 500.. as 500 has better firmware.. In my case I would go for 620 if got better throughput.. But if there"s no much difference between them it would be pointless.. Would you agree with that opinion?

    • @Intellibeam
      @Intellibeam  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      We haven't used the 620's so it wouldn't be fair to comment on their performance. The 500's have been fantastic for us though.

      It can be reset on the poe if it has the reset button on it. Most Ubiquiti poe's have that nowadays. Otherwise, it's a pinhole on the device itself.

    • @Intellibeam
      @Intellibeam  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Carlos Manrique There are way to many variables at play that a site survey would have to be done for this kind of setup.

    • @Intellibeam

    It is not called "M5 AC" - that is an oxymoron. M5 = Airmax 802.11N 5AC = Airmax 802.11AC

    • @Intellibeam
      @Intellibeam  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was when it was released. The naming has changed a couple times since then.

      M is clearly for the 11N series. If it was initially released as "M5 AC" then someone forgot their morning coffee before they put finger to keyboard.

    • @Intellibeam
      @Intellibeam  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Umm, look at the box in the unboxing. It clearly says M5 AC. Like I said, they renamed it after they released it. I left the title the same because that's what it was.

    • @createcoms
      @createcoms 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I was trying to be helpful, because the distinction is technically important. If you want to persist with the error that's fine (and your reasoning does have a chronological basis, but this isn't history it's technology)
