- McDonald's brilliantly added Carolina Mustard BBQ sauce to the quarter pounder ... so why does it feel like such a let down?

Grimace and onion straws rock!
Yes to both! I love the onion straws on chili. Just not when Tim Hortons does it.
I love that sauce so much, it would be an insanely good nugget sauce
PREACH
Had no idea it was such a rare sauce! I want to make it at home. They should've gone ham on the onions though...
Mustard sauce is a pretty easy do it yourselfer; and if I HAD to guess what McDonalds did, I’d bet they just mixed their BBQ with mustard. If not, just grab one that tickles your fancy from a recipe site. I use it on ham as a glaze sometimes.
k this was the best burger ive ever had from mcdanks no cap
McDonald's' obsession with consistency leads to the double-edged sword of reliability/comfort food contrasted with a lack of wow factor. It's tough to expect a mainstream chain to be too risky with flavour. I don't really get why they're so conservative though, since they don't have to change their classics. Why not blow people's minds sometime!
I feel like they’re just the most risk adverse chain as a whole. People know what they’re going to get. Their chicken McMuffin BLT a prime example; it’s literally the same thing they already serve with some lettuce and tomato on top. INNOVATION BAYBEE!
I don’t MIND them for what they are, but like you, I wish they’d grow a McPair once in awhile.
Have you ever had a Big Mac considering the sauce
Indeed. Without the sauce. So it’s just an expensive double burger.
I also inadvertently had one with sauce last December. There’s a video of me throwing up on TH-cam somewhere. (Well, directors cut, nothing sinister seen)
I’m
Not sure I’ve ever eaten a quarter pounder.
Wait what?
Onion strings are not cool!
Ehhhh they’re there. I can take them or leave them. I prefer fresh onions though.
To be perfectly honest, it looks like a thrown-together mess, like most of the stuff from McDonald's. Absolutely no pride in their product.
They’re pretty good on the flavor end (a ton of lab work does that), but yeah - the delivery itself more often leaves a lot to be desired. I guess that’s why it’s “fast” food - get it out the door.
I'm not a big mustard fan so I'll pass
I’d judge, but I don’t eat mayo, so you’re good.
Those onions are pathetic
