- I have to let you know ahead of time that this one, while being beautiful, wasn't one that I got really into. I appreciate the love song aspect of it "I hope" that's what it was and not the other thing. LOL! Reminds me of a Disney film theme song. It doesn't have to mean it's bad, just not something I listen to very much. I can see why it's popular though. It's very beautiful.

Hey there, thank you so much. After going back and looking at the lyrics, I realize that I was right in my first assessment about this being about love. The love story is the greatest story ever told and she has a beautiful voice to share that story with. In my first viewing, it just got in my head that there was a possibility of the other being an example of what could be seen from the lyrics that I heard. Really, I just kind of started laughing and it became funny to me, and it was entertaining for me to laugh at that Analysis, even though I kind of figured that I was wrong that’s why I was saying I was probably just being stupid and it went over my head. I’m really excited though to check out more of her music. I’ve heard that she does a lot of different genres extremely well and I’m here for it. You had it right in the beginning of the video. Its a LOVE song. So many reactors believe it is about being selfish and gold digging and that is wrong.
I figured I had to be just reading too much into that, but once I got it in my head it began to make me laugh. It really is a beautiful song after understanding it really is a love song about the love of her life being everything to her. Thank you for clarifying for me. I think those who say they never made the connection with gold digging must have heard this song while watching the movie. the movie does a great job at taking you through the love story and obviously you're given the full context first hand. The scene where this song plays is quite impactful in my opinion, in was really touched when I watched it in theaters. I understand where you're coming from, my father for example is a big fan of love songs and ballads, but he does not enjoy what you hear on the radio nowadays. I personally really like the song and film, although the song seems like it's been performed way too many times for my liking. But that's just a result of how popular the movie was when it first came out. Never Enough was the fans' favorite from the movie's soundtrack. Morissette did a great job and once again, her vocals shined the brightest

Yes, very wrong. She is saying that the whole world (including all its gold and fame) and even the heavens would not be enough without being able to share her life with him. The song is from the film "The Greatest Showman." The scenario in the film is the that the famous Swedish singer, Jenny Lind, had been hired by P.T. Barnum to give a singing tour in the US. Lind's tour was wildly successful. What happens next in the film is not historical, but she falls in love with Barnum, who is married. She decides to quit the tour, despite all the money she is making, because she cannot be with Barnum. The historical situation was different in that Lind was very religious, and all the money she raised was for charity. There was no real-world romance with Barnum, and Lind actually continued to tour after leaving Barnum's management.
See, now that makes a lot of sense. I didn’t realize that it was actually from a film, but I do have to give myself credit that I had it right in the first place, but then I got it into my head about the selfishness and greed, and it became kind of an inside joke to me and became funny to me. I couldn’t get it out of my head after that. It is such a very beautiful song and it wouldn’t make sense that such beautiful vocals would represent selfishness and greed and I understand that now. I really appreciate you breaking it down for me so that I can understand I was wrong with my selfishness assessment and I was right with the love story aspect. LoL, I have to admit I was. Although I have to give myself credit for getting it at first. I just got it into my head because she stopped talking about the guy taking her hands in the song and so I was just kind of making an inside joke to myself because it seems like it could be viewed in a selfish greedy way. I do understand that a voice is beautiful as hers Wouldn’t make sense to be seeing about selfish and greedy things, and the former is highly more likely than the latter of being selfish. The love story is a tale as old as time and the greatest story ever told. I can completely see why people love this song so much and especially her voice, it’s off the charts.
