  • Realize God's calling for yourself as you learn about where God was calling Abram out from in this week's Torah portion Lech Lekha! The parashah tells the stories of God's calling of Abram (who would become Abraham) from his idolatrous land and to the Promised land where God's name dwells. We also learn about how God blesses Abram with the wealth of the Nations around him, from Nimrod, to Pharoah of Egypt to Abimelech King of Gerar! We see the selfless nature and kindness of Abram in dividing the land with his nephew Lot and giving him the first choice for the best land. We also learn about the war between the four kings and the five, the covenant between the pieces, Sarai's tensions with her maid Hagar and Hagar's son Ishmael, and the covenant of circumcision (בְּרִית מִילָה‎, brit milah). Taken from Genesis 12:1-17:27.
Write us and let us know what you think! We hope this Torah teaching blesses you in your spiritual understanding and growth! Such an Awesome Torah Portion Instruction.
As you expounded this beautiful Torah Portion.
    The Mashiach Blessing of Lot.
My mind turned immediately to how Rajab, came over into the Refugee Evil City of Yericho . Woowee.
As each daughter had a Child to dear Lot , out of the other sister of Ammon, produced Rajab, whose people fled into Yericho to survive against the Huge Multitudes of our people's under Moshe.
She befriended Salmon, and the second witness, from the Evil of Yericho.
Marrying Salmon, , this introduces both Families of Lot, back into Yash'ar'al.
    Hallaluyah

      Jesus ? .
According to the English Bible, the name of the Savior-Son of Elohim, the Most High One, is JESUS. But then, “JESUS” is English and definitely seems odd as a name for the Savior who was born Jewish! The name “JESUS”, being English, could never have been found in the Holy Scriptures that Elohim inspired and caused to be written in Hebrew, from which the English Bible was later made. Simply put, because the name “JESUS” is not Hebrew, it is not part of the inspired Word of Elohim which He led holy men to write!
Amazingly, the name “JESUS” never even came to salvation seekers as a result of the translation of any Hebrew name found in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures, as many commonly presume, since names and titles of people are never deemed translatable. Instead, it was deliberately introduced into the Holy Scriptures by some being of evil intent!!
Students of the English Bible know that “JESUS” is a name of Greek origin-coming from IZEUS or IOSEUS. Now, IZEUS means something like “The Son of Zeus” while ZEUS is a feared Greek deity! What this means is that, the name JESUS has in it the inextricable substance and value (DNA?) of the Greek deity, ZEUS!!
And yet, bible readers have come to accept the name JESUS, which came not from Elohim, but from translators of the Hebrew Holy Scriptures, as belonging to the Jewish-born Savior of the world, who, in all his days in Yisroel, was called by a Jewish name by an entire Jewish nation!
Had bible translators not done the work of translating the Hebrew Holy Scriptures that they did, which they even did without the mandate of Elohim, salvation seekers today would never have known the name JESUS given to them in the English Bible as being the only name attributable to the Savior, and thus, would not have been deceived to seek the salvation of Elohim in and by it as they have done!
On two occasions, Elohim sent a malach (angel) to give the Hebrew name for His Son-a name that was already known and revered by all malachim (angels) in Heaven-to his would-be “parents” on Earth so mankind would never make a mistake in this, in naming him differently when he was born or in ever referring to him by some other name throughout mankind’s history on Earth. This Hebrew name is YESHUA”, which means “Salvation “ ”.
In as much as all names are of eternal value, being spirit in nature, YESHUA is, no doubt, the name that the Savior is forever known by in Heaven, and must thus be accepted by all on Earth forever and ever. In so far as names are spirit, any change of name must necessitate a change of spirit [being]! Do salvation seekers, therefore, see what danger there is in turning from YESHUA to Jesus??
The question to ask is: Do “Yeshua” and “Jesus” get the same response or have the same effect or recognition in Heaven, when uttered on Earth? Is the spirit known as Yeshua the same as the one known as JESUS? Can any two spirits be the same? Anyway, why was the need for the change in name from YESHUA to JESUS if the two names mean the same or belong to one being? Think about this!
Of more curiosity to me is, if the name “YESHUA” is what Heaven recognizes and has ordained for men to profess faith in, so as to receive the salvation of Elohim (Acts 4:10-12), would the name JESUS do same? Dear reader, think deeply about these questions.
Have English Bible translators and publishers, in JESUS, given the world a translation for the name YESHUA? Well, not only is it ridiculous for translators to do this, it is also unacceptable because all names and titles, despite the cultures they emanate from, must remain the same everywhere on Earth. They must never be translated. They should only be transliterated. So then, why would English translators treat differently the name YESHUA?
The Hebrew title-HaMashiach-meaning “The Anointed One” is conferred on YESHUA by the Good Abba for mankind’s recognition, eternally. Sadly, this Hebrew title has become corrupted to “Messiah” in English in disregard of the fact that everyone is annoyed when his or her name or title is miss spelt, written wrongly, twisted, or pronounced crudely!
Well, we know “HaMashiach” means “The Anointed One” because Elohim tells us so; but what does “Messiah” mean? Man may think the English word “Messiah” and the Greek “Christos” both mean “The Anointed One” in much the same way that “HaMashiach” in Hebrew does. But then, that would be man telling himself so, and not Elohim!
It is simply out of place for salvation seekers to use man-made words, such as “God”, “Jesus”, and “Messiah”, as they have been misled by so-called “church fathers” and bible-translators to do, in their search of Elohim’s salvation.
There are many quotations that translators attribute to the Savior which he never uttered! For instance, they attribute the following verses in the Bible to Yeshua when it is impossible for him to have uttered them: “Ought not CHRIST to have suffered these things, and to enter his glory?” (Luke 24:26); “For GOD so loved the world, that, he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16); and “I am JESUS, whom thou persecutest:” (Acts 9:5); caps mine.
Kefa (Peter) is also quoted to have said: “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38), caps mine.
I can say with certainty given me by Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) that the Savior neither called himself “JESUS” and “CHRIST”-different from and in disregard of the name and title the Good Abba has given him-nor did Kefa ever utter any of the words “God”, “Christ”, or “Jesus”, for none of these English words existed in Yisroel in his days and were, thus, unknown to him!!
The prophecy of Daniel 7:15-25 foretold of a “fourth beast” working to twist the things established by Elohim, and, I dare say, this work is the result of the Great Falling Away of Second Thessalonians 2:3-4 that salvation seekers have been warned of!! The world now seems fully engulfed in deception, through the works of Lucifer and his henchmen preaching a false name and titles for salvation.
It is remarkable to note that that the “fourth beast”, working through his assigns, managed to keep all names and titles that are peculiar to his home country from being translated, but translated all Jewish names, including those of the Jewish-born Savior, in the making of the English Bible.
Whilst English Bible translators held in high esteem and reverence such names as Caesar, Pilate, Herod, Agrippa, Felix, Festus, etc, and did not dare translate them, they did not show the same reverence to any Hebrew names in the Hebrew Holy Scriptures and so translated them-YESHUA to JESUS, Yitzchak to Isaac, Ya’akov to Jacob, Kefa to Peter, Mattityahu to Matthew, Nakdimon to Nicodemus, Yochanan to John, Sha’ul to Paul, Perushim to Pharisees, Kohen Gadol to High Priest, Rebbe to Rabbi, etc, etc.
Let salvation seekers, therefore, beware of names and titles they have believed in their quest for the salvation of Elohim. There is ONLY one name into which Elohim has vested all His wisdom, and will, by which sinners are enabled to secure redemption from Lucifer and from evil influences; and made eligible to enter Heaven!
This one and only name is YESHUA HaMashiach, and not JESUS CHRIST! Professing and confessing the name JESUS CHRIST only takes salvation seekers off course, denying them the very salvation of Elohim that they seek. May all salvation seekers beware of this!

The real truth of the messiah has always been known and intimately preserved by the Jewish people, as eyes become opened to the actual truth of the torah...it is very important to in humility recognize that the rabbit hole goes very deep indeed....Why would Rome have adopted Christianity (over paganism) as its nationally mandated religion only a few years after it was founded...? perhaps it was a very useful tool. Torah is truth.

Love this Torah series, learning so much and giving new depth to things I had already studied before. I have been convinced that our salvation does not depend upon our works but that works are the fruits of our faith. Is that so? I am just a normal nobody who just got interrested in the bible by "chance", come from a completely secular world and upbringing. Do I even have time to make all these changes before the return of the Messiah? I feel that we are so close it can be any moment and I am certainly nowhere near being able to adapt these things in my life, I wouldnt know where to begin even as a gentile that dont trust any isms or scisms. All churches seems corrupt in one way or another, wouldt you agree? Evangelical or Catholic or Orthodox, I have visited them all and all have something interresting but all are different, where do we go to find guidance if we want to observe sabbath for example?

@@TheFingolito writing out your payers is a good idea, it also allows you to go back and look at the prayers that have been answered. Pray when you feel lead to do it, any time is good, I've read from sister close to me and also my blood sister that they sometimes wake up at around 3 am and can't fall back asleep, perhaps this is a time God is asking you to seek him in prayer. Look at the prayer examples on the Scriptures for example Nehemiahs prayer, or Daniel's, and of course the Lord's prayer, take each think he says as a bullet point and give thanks accordingly or ask for forgiveness accordingly, then make your petitions known to God. He already know everything about you, but he wants to hear it form you, if you want a better prayer life, ask Him to help you achieve it 🙂

Sodom does sound like a city that engaged in "civil" forfeiture engaged in by the modern-day "justice" system, not to mention riddled with all the things that affect us today in society in order to confuse even the natural flow of things. Didn't know that לך meant "go", but interesting that לךָ is also akin to meaning "yours"; almost like God saying: "Go [for the benefit of me and for you], and it [a land and nation] shall be yours". ... and also the ending of King (מלך) if you want to engage in verbage hidden in other words. All that going and possessing and establishing was needed to pave the road for The King. !המלך והאריה יהודה בא בקרוב >>;=)

Is the book of Jubalies ( sorry I mangled that up ) a paraphrase? I'm currently reading the Jewish Targen ( again sorry for bad spelling ) and it says it's a paraphrase. I have to say I'm enjoying reading it more than the bible because it gives ideas that fill in the gaps and flows more. Would it be fair to say that is how we should treat extra Jewish books?

Could it be that when Abraham refused to take anything from the city of Sodom after war with them because he wanted nothing contaminated by what Sodom represented. Yet when Pharo told Abraham to take all his belongings with him when he banished them from Egypt because Pharo had been stricken with disease, he didn't want to keep any of Abraham's belongings as in Pharos eyes they were contaminated. I have a question about something you mentioned about Tamar not being defiled by the sons of Judah. Chapter 38:9 says that Onan went into her and spilled his seed. I would like to know what other scriptures show that God did not allow Tamar to be defiled until Judah went into her.

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It is from our Jewish sages that we are told that Tamar was still a virgin after the deaths of the two brothers (BT Yevamot 34b).
Tamar was married to Judah’s firstborn Er and after his death she was given in matrimony to his second son, Onan. The midrash relates that Er was seven years old when he married Tamar (Seder Olam Rabbah 2). The Torah declares that Er was “displeasing to the Lord” and accordingly died (Gen. 38:7), while his brother Onan died because he did not want to do his duty as a brother-in-law, and rather spilled his seed on the ground (vv. 9-10). The Rabbis suggest that Judah’s two sons died because they engaged in unnatural intercourse with Tamar. Er acted in this manner so she would not become pregnant, for he feared that pregnancy would detract from her beauty, while Onan did so because he knew “that the seed would not count as his” (v. 9). It also tells more of the story in Jasher 45:23-27

They said that I’m still in sin if I don’t submit to my husband and how can I lead him to Yah if I’m rebelling against him? I don’t agree with that because we’re all responsible for our own actions

The "sages" referred to are our righteous Jewish teachers of blessed memory who expounded upon the Torah and carried the deep truths forward to future generations. This includes Ezra (who wrote Chronicles) who mentioned Avraham saying he was God's love (אַבְרָהָ֥ם אֹֽהַבְךָ֖) and the Prophet Yeshayahu (Isaiah) through whom God called Avraham "my love" (אַבְרָהָ֥ם אֹֽהֲבִֽי).

    Beautiful.... But
Come out of the pagan family house and unto God's house
Abraham's calling was not to leave earth or leave town but to leave a pagan house so as to feature under the house of God which God would have shown him to build. That way, under the tent or tabernacle of God, many families of the earth will be blessed. Israel perverted their mandate as nation so a veil was placed between them and God.(albeit not forever) We can therefore never tabernacle in and under " Israel's/Judah's house" . Y'shua ruptured this veil during the crucifixion so all mankind who accept Y'shua, has access to the house of God again. We received the rupture so we do not have (and will not be) raptured. Rapture is an escapist theology which is not Scriptural since Y'shua specifically said that He asked not that we escape what is coming on earth but get wisdow, strength and help from the Helper to GO through this. We thus are not mandated to wait to leave earth but to be the Father's living Tabernacles and GO into all earth as the ONE NEW MANKIND in Y'shua.
