I wrote the music in this video from my thoughts of the world in the beginning of the 21st Century. However, whether you are across a million miles or a thousand years, in spending this moment with my music we share a moment together, I hope you enjoy.
The following are a few songs & the ideas behind their origins;
"Peace on Earth" I imagine a day we will collectively know our true connection and realize we are all in this together on this planet, and that the intentions for the greater good of all, will benefit each of us more than separate paths focused on personal gain. With a realized experience of our Oneness, we will focus our intentions and energy for the greater good of all. Someday we may begin again, to have a world we'll live peacefully in. Towards our generation's end, I see a time when we will start again with a new realization, in a new world,,, Starter Planet. One of the most famous spiritual authors of our time, Eckhart Tolle, calls this "the New Earth" which I think is a Biblical reference, Christ called it "the kingdom of heaven." Buddha called it "the Pure Land", other visionary musicians like George Harrison saw it through Krishna's vision. Each was leading us to the same place in consciousness. As a phrase for modern times, I call it a "Starter Planet.
"Trees"- Dark waters, Cloudy skies, and beautiful decadence is the feel from this song."I remember Trees, and untouched fields, no radio waves all through the air". The great Christian mystic of the 16th Century, Meister Eckhart, wrote that the closest thing to God is Silence. I feel there is a world that exists behind the noise & energy of our modern world that blocks it out, a world in which the mind can more easily re-connect with the Spirit, the Source of our Being. The next time the power goes out during a storm, remember to notice the change you feel, a change that goes beyond the absence of lights and sound.... the world is calm, the atmosphere is different, the mind is clearer and quieter. In that silence and stillness, we hear and experience the Spirit breathing its life within us.
"They Want it All", and a little more. Envy & jealousy is what comes from those who fail to see their own gifts hidden behind what appears better in others. Their insecurities can get the best of them & others at times. We all share an imperfect world, or is it? It's been my experience that the things in life we feel permanent, even simple things good or bad can be temporary. As for me, I'll wait for the light that makes the darkness disappear, in a garden not made by man. I feel just as I've always felt, that I'm just passing by on my way to somewhere else. More deeply I feel I've had many lives which distances my connection to only this one.
