Great video!! Pride gloves definitely smashed it but I think the new UFC gloves are better than given credit for. I understand the not wanting to break your hand with the lesser padding but that's also partly down to knowing how to land the shots without breaking your hand also. I have a pair of One Fairtex gloves, great gloves. But when training im using Hyabusa Hybrids, its a good glove with plenty of padding to keeping my training partners safe, bjt the elastic is wearing out after only 2 years. I need another pair of mma gloves for training. But the One Fairtex gloves are comfortable, snug, my thumb feels secure, and they just look nice.
For training I highly recommend the Isami Pounding gloves (company that makes gloves for Rizin), great quality and has padding for hammer fists/gnp practice

Without even watching I can tell you that the gloves that are the absolute best are PRIDE Gloves. They naturally curve your firsts, have plenty padding covering your knuckles, they keep your wrists pretty secure and you just have overall better freedom when it comes to grappling. From what I saw back in the day, they looked awesome. Edit: welp, no surprises here. I want me some damn Pride gloves, I didn’t know that the flexibility of the gloves and freedom of them allowed your to freely move your digits that way, I just assumed they were made of better material that allowed more room for grappling.
My old gym had some raggedy pride gloves in the bin that i would always look for. They were my favorites even though were in tatters lol, so comfortable

Totally agree. I had many fights in different promotions and the assigned gloves always were alwyas a crapshoot. He's so right about the Fairtex gloves, they 1000% feel the best. Slim, compact, and long in the finger tips, made your hands feel like you could punch through a wall. The Oauno brand/UFC/KOTC gloves are so bulky, after all the tape you feel like you got bowling balls on your hands. Also, the holes in the sides of those gloves are really big, a lot of opportunity for people to grab on the inside of those gloves, sneaky, cheatin bastards.
Mighty have you ever tried Trevor Wittman's gloves? They are under his brand ONX I think. I know they aren't used in any big MMA organizations but I've heard they are the future of MMA gloves and everyone who tries them loves em.
kotc is still around, i went to one of their events recently. their poster had a bunch of well known guys on it. dc, rampage, strickland, namajunas, etc. thats how i found out dc used to be kotc hw champ

Rizin has the best version of the Pride style gloves IMO bc they dont have the finger loops that are easy to slip out of.
I'm pretty sure Ouano made the KOTC, WEC and the first UFC gloves. Cool to see the slight improvements they made over the years.

I always liked the ONE Championship gloves the best as far as looks go and Fairtex makes good quality stuff. I'm def going to order me some.

Fairtex is my favorite boxing gloves. The fitting is so good it doesn't hurt even of you punch hard.
