In Japan, we belieave the souls of ancestors come back to us during Obon festival, August 13th-16th. In Obon festival, we go back to our hometowns and visit family graves. Bon-Odori is the Japanese traditional folk dance performed during the Obon period., we dance to amuse souls of our ancestors. Awa-Odori is kind of Bon-dance in Tokushima area. They dance in a parade, like Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. There are many dance groups of Awa-Odori, called `Ren`, and they compete of their dance perfomance among the groups.
