    Hi Senan, this is a great video… you were catching some amazing strong fighting rainbows in this session. It’s a really good “well stocked” Fishery. Best regards, Wayne 😀👍

      Thanks Wayne, it’s a fun place to fish when the wild trout season is closed, not long now until our season opens again finally ! 👌🎣

      @@senanstanleyfishing me too Hopefully, have you ever trolled pike with deadbait?I was thinking it could be very effective but not sure how its setup etc.

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes Kieran you can troll the deadbaits, to be honest it’s really effective, but it’s messy handling deadbaits all day after the hits when the pike are feeding it can just take a while to set up another deadbait, the lures are just easier, some days trolling deadbaits can be the only way to catch, 6/8 inch roach, it’s really easy to set up a rig for trolling them, you need lots of weight maybe 40 grams to get them down. I’d sooner just use a lure 😂

      @@senanstanleyfishing good advice,sound Senan..I'll stick to lures so...have u seen the Fox giant replication wobble lure,they look unreal..35cm long.

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve seen them Kieran but they are shallow rigged so even though they are massive they won’t go deep, unless you add some weight to them, really cool lures though, il have to pick one up and try it, them fox replicant lures are amazing, just as good as any other 🙌🎣

    Cheers Senan, another great video. I've only fished the bottom lake down there. I must give the top one a go.

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sound Jamie, The main (bottom) lake was super slow on this day, so I ran up to the top lake just to catch a few, they were freshly stocked so to be honest they would have taken anything in front of them. 😂🎣

      @@senanstanleyfishing cool. Jonno does a great job down there... Constantly putting fish in to it. Roll on the wild season but it's good to have somewhere to go when the lakes and rivers are closed. Tight lines bud 🎣

      Ya It’s jam packed with fish, I put the GoPro underwater and it was like an aquarium 👏 not long now until we’re back after them wild brownies , big or small I’d take that any day 🙌

      It’s good fun man, I’d pick the wild fishing first all day every day, but this is a nice break in the winter months 👏

    Hi Senan,
    Love the video, great as usual. They really liked that fly.
    Do you tie and sell this fly?
    I don’t tie my own flies, so have to buy from whoever.
    Let me know, please.
    Bob.👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Bob, the only flies I buy are Mayflies, a man called Bill Dooley ties all of my flies, Dooley’s Mayflies on Facebook is where to contact him. But for the rainbow trout flies I get a lot sent to me from various fly tiers, there’s a website in the uk called troutflies.co.uk that sells them also for like 50cent a fly, good value 👌🎣

      Thank You.

      This one was a cats whisker, the colours on it were yellow orange and white, the fresh trout reach best to bright colours like that, the older trout will want the more natural green and blacks 👌

    hi senan just wondering what tippet do you use?

    • @senanstanleyfishing
      @senanstanleyfishing  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I only really use maxima fleuro for all of the rainbow trout fishing in the winter months, I don’t like to complicate it too much 🙂 if bites are slow I will use froghair as tippet, but I don’t like it, it’s too weak
