Hi Laurie, I am glad you enjoyed it! Happy crafting my friend TFW xx
Thank you Sabrina for sharing this wallet style pocket card it is sooo pretty really love the beading and lace embellishments in side.
Funny you mentioned the EK success fastener, because I found one that I had bought years ago when I was having a sort out of my craft room few weeks ago that I hadn’ used for a long time (it a larger version with a long reach arm, more for scrapbooking I think, along with lots of the wide staples for it) and was sooo happy because I thought it would be good for using with my altered book and journal projects.
You have been busy making so many lovely pockets, tags, tuck spots and envelopes, I bet you had a fun time and we’re delighted with your results. I like the way you used different stitches for the borders too :)
Susanne

It's also very nice to find other Canadian junk journallers.
Kylara, What a lovely thing to say (you gave me goosies) LOL My hope is that others find some inspiration as I do from this community. I guess that's what it's all about. Canada Eh! Where do you live? Thanks again for your kindness my friend. hugs xx
Sabrina Oreskovic I live in Ontario about an hour from Toronto.
This crafting community is one of my only links to everyday life as I am disabled and am bed bound about 80-90% of the time. I have very severe Crohn's disease, and fibromyalgia.
About 2 years ago now I had 16 major stomachs operations in a year and a half and almost died twice. So I don't get to craft as much as I would like but the TH-cam community keeps me within my passion even on some of my worst days.
I am in the process of gathering my papers, and making embellishments ( have spent about 5 hours coffee and tea staining paper last week lol). This will be my first attempt at a JJ. I find it hard to find vintage ephemera but I keep hoping I will find some things around here lol.
Wow sorry for the long rant. LOL A lot more information than you wanted lol. Anyway I did mean what I said about you inspiring me. Thank you again.
Kylara, I can not control my emotions right now where do I start. First of all I live an hour from Toronto so where are you girl???? I live north of the city in Caledon/Orangeville. My sister lives with some fibromyalgia and I can understand slightly what that's about. I feel for you and the struggles you must face each day and I am glad that you are able to find some comfort in this crafty world. I believe that we all have a purpose a reason to be here to share to learn to grow. I would love to see the result of your JJ, I would be thrilled to help you with anything you need to help complete it. I am so happy you shared your story with me, I can't tell you how I have enjoyed speaking with you!! You know what Kylara YOU INSPIRE ME!! God Bless you sweetie xx
Sabrina Oreskovic I live in Woodstock. About 35-40 mins before London. Gregg and I lived in Barrie and when my health started to really deteriorate we decided I needed to be close to my family and surgeons and specialists so we came back here about 5.5-6 years ago.
You have really touched both Gregg and I by your responses to me today. He is my rock. Last week when you posted about the tea bags he went out looking for some and then you did the DIY satchels and he went out right away to buy me coffee filters. I have cut 50 down, ironed them and scored. Now to just finish them up and decorate.
I bought a few things this week from J9Scraps but locally my lens milk has a small crappy selection of trims. Might need to find some place else that sells trim and lace.
I was recommended JunkThatTreasures and I live so much of the stuff she sells but unfortunately she does not ship to Canada. So am just trying to find a good diverse sellers of all things JJ related such as glassine bags, laces and trims, garment pins, old ads, library cards, timecards etc but hopefully will be able to find a good couple of shops.
I will definitely show you my journal when it's done. Your projects even helped me break out my new and never used sewing machine, and I have been making pockets and having a blast.
I think the one part about this craft that I like so much is it's a bunch of crafting types that you use to create a larger project so I think there will be less boredom and repetitive crafting.
Ky
It sounds like your Gregg is great guy!! that's what love is!! I found it hard to find things I liked too and that is part of the reason that I try to make a lot of embellishments myself. Do you have a Michael's near you at all. With coupons you could save some money. Dollar stores are great places for "our kind of stuff" they even have some lace trims. I am glad you broke out that sewing machine. Would it be to much to ask for you to private message me your mailing address? Things can change quickly and crafting is certainly never boring!! Sabrina
Thanks for sharing lovely lady. I love them and will definitely will try and once again thank you so much.
Hi Lena, So glad you stopped by! Happy crafting sweetie! xx

Hi Tereese, Thank you, thank you my friend I had fun with these!! xx
Beautifully made. I really struggle with upside down words and images on envelopes. ❤️
I think I'm just a little picky maybe, it takes a little fidgeting but I think it looks cleaner. TFW xx

Did you know that at 7:49 when you talk about being careful about what the tag says it says " horseshit" ?? I got a giggle out of that lol
TheLoriFiles ooooommmmggg!! What!!! That’s so funny and so bad on my part! I should probably take my own advice huh????? Well sorry about that and thanks for pointing it out. It is kinda funny though right!! 😂

Looking to see if I can find the W.R.M stapler .... brilliant. Thank you . xx
Whoop whoop found it Sabby .... thank you . xx
kazeekins1 so glad you were able to find it!! Xx
Bello. !!😊👐👧
Thank you so much!! xx
Yes, yes, yes, please do a tutorial....
I did it!!! LOL Thank you! xx
Thank you Sabby!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My pleasure Dianne!! TFW
Love your work! Now do I understand correctly that you glue pages together before stitching?...just around the edges (for the glue), right?
Right, I don't glue where I intend to stitch as you don't want to gum up your needle. I find the glued pages just helps them stay flatter and hold together. Thank you so much for watching my friend. xx
Hi new subbie here, loved all your tags and stuff lol!! So cute, love junk journals ! Tfs xoxo Ana
Hi Ana! So thrilled to have to here, thank you so much! You are an inspiration I watch your videos all the time. Hugs xx
Awww thank you!!! I do love all your projects with the book pages, currently trying to use up all my books too! Lol tfs xoxo Ana
You can buy that stapler (fastener) on EBay.
LOVE how you did sewing instead of gluing. It looks really vintage that way. I am going to try that. What color thread did you use? On my computer it looks black.
Hi Laurie, I generally stick to cream colors to sew. Unless I want the sewing to stand out more then I will use tans or light browns. Hope this helps. xx
I will try tans and browns to go with my coffee died paper.Thank You!!
I love the Card perfect for a few birthdays coming up ,Or any occasion, Did you Glue all the way to the edge wondering about the sewing I just dug my Machine out ( hadn't seen the light for hummmmm 15years ) Had to mess around with it till I got the tension right, I'm afraid that the needle would gum up. Love LOVE LOVE the 3 pocket page
HI Ann, you know I was going to mention that and forgot, I did not glue all the way to the edge, I used a really light hand with the glue anyway and I also waited to let the pages dry before I stitched on them. I am proud of you for digging out that machine!! LOL way to go!! thanks so much for watching. Happy crafting!! xx
I assumed thats what you did lol. It needed a cleaning.
I just meant I get a lot of ideas from her as well
Marianne Oh I totally understand she is a great lady with great ideas. I appreciate your comments Marianne!!

Hi Corinne, I feel so bad, I don't actually have one yet, I am hoping it happens this summer but my problem is time and very bad internet where I live. If and when it happens I will be certain to let you all know. It warms my heart that you would go to my shop, thank you so much for your support. xx
Looks like you got a lot of ideas from Patricia Viramontes. She does a lot of this.
yes I got some from watching her, I mention her in my video.
