Thx for answering a question I was having regarding the slap tone - volume. Wasn't sure if if it was about force as well as position but u see it's more about position technique.
Seco means dry in Spanish, and this wasn't that technique. A seco has the non-striking hand rest flat on the head to buffer resonance, and a slap is applied with the striking hand. I like mine a bit harder than an open slap. The result is a dry pop, akin to blocks.
