Worst is, time just seems to fly by faster the older you get. I am soon 40... and 30 felt like yesterday, and being 20 was not really that long ago either. I don't feel any different, just older.
It's the Year of Our Lord 2020 and this is still my favorite version of this song, official or otherwise. I've played every Link's Awakening, looking for its version of Tal Tal Heights to be this epic and moving...and it never is. This is seriously one of my fave game remixes ever, you're amazing Disco Dan! Love you Forever!!
You know, I haven't heard something like this in quite some time. All I can say is wow. It blew my mind, the part that starts at 0:37 reminds me of the intro theme of Gemfire on the Nes. Nothing short of epic, kudos to you Disco Dan.
i think, if someone had performed this exact arrangement, with a real banjo, electric violin on steroids and awesome pumping drum/base it woulda rocked the floor!
I always associate this remix with a video I found back in 2007-2008 of a texture hack for Ocarina of Time in Project 64. Someone swapped the in game textures with A Link to the Past sprites (even giving Link pink hair and his pixel eyes). In hindsight, it didn't age well at all... but at the time (I was 10 or 11), i was amazed it was even possible lol. Ah, the memories.
Not really. 0:00 - 0:38 is build-up and important for setting the mood and direction. 0:39 is only where the additional instruments kick in and create the full musical track.
